A tale of a Lolicon loving person who became a victim of society's judgment.
This is just the first chapter. This isn't intended to be a rant by any means, although I could see it if you found it to be.
---
This was a normal morning like any other. Well, let's face it - It was a normal afternoon like any other. Waking up early isn't exactly my thing.
Anyway, as usual, I would wake up, find some form of food, and get on my computer. It didn't run my life as most people had thought, but the way I see it - It keeps me away from them. Would you rather listen to people call you various things and not be able to reply, or would you rather just read it online and be able to call the person a dirty name in response?
No-brainer, right?
In the news recently, there had been reports about various places around the world wanting to ban "hentai" - For those not in-the-know, this is a form of pornography for my kind of people. What do I mean by "my kind?" I mean those who enjoy things that other people would call "nerdy," "weird," or in this day and age, "faggy." Yeah, people really have no better insult than "fag" these days. Idiots, all of 'em.
To be honest, I had completely ignored these reports - It's not like I do this stuff in public places, or go around screaming it to the internet, or something like that - The only places I mention enjoying that kind of thing are respective forums for those things - Places where there are others who understand and share the love. Sure, I may make a bit too much of a fuss about it than I should, but there are always quite a few people to back me up, and that makes me feel a bit more secure.
But just regular hentai isn't the real problem here. Those reports speak of banning a form of hentai known as "Lolicon." For those with yet again no idea, it's ... Well, it's kind of awkward to explain, but what the hell. It's a form of hentai in which the character is portrayed as young or childlike. I know what you're thinking:
"THAT'S CHILD PORN! YOU'RE SICK!"
But that's why I told you it was awkward.
You see, Lolicon has quite a few definitions - To the Japanese, it both means to be a pedophile, or it's also the name of a hentai genre. Online, it usually just means a person that's a fan of the genre. Most people don't use it to call someone else online a pedophile, but of course there are people who do so.
It's those kind of people that I mentioned last who are causing this issue. Blinded by their own opinions and refusing to listen to anything else, those who find this to be nothing but a form of "child pornography" are determined to make sure the whole thing is stopped, and everyone who likes it put away.
But as I say (and many others will vouch for me,) it's ink and paper. No one stopped you from looking up that oh-so-funny Disney porn when you first discovered the Internet, right? Admit it, you've looked at "cartoon porn" yourself. Maybe it was just for a laugh, or maybe you were simply curious, but you have. Then again, I could be wrong. Maybe you're the kind of person who is "pure" and has no filthy thoughts at all.
But you know I'd be wrong. Admit it.
But that explanation aside, let's get back to our tale. It was after getting online and seeing yet another one of these articles that I went to my daily online rituals - Checking various websites for updated content, things like that. After that, I headed for - you can guess - the porn.
When I loaded one of the sites I frequently visit, I noticed that a category had been removed - The "Lolicon" category. Apparently this website had been a target of the current "we're too scared so we're removing it ASAP" trend. Then again, I can't really blame them. To be perfectly honest, it gives me chills myself when thinking about it.
But once again, I'm rambling on. It was only after I found another site and began to download that I heard my phone ring. I answered, hearing one of my friends who lived about an hour away - He was also into Lolicon. Like me, he saw no problems with liking ink and paper.
"Dude, delete everything. Now." He'd said with panic in his voice.
"What? Why?" I asked. "What's wrong?"
You remember how I said people see Lolicon as a form of child porn? Well apparently someone was tipped off to my friend's collection. When he tried to explain it was only drawings, he was, of course, ignored.
"They won't even let me talk, man. I don't know what to do."
So this is how it ends, huh? Someone who thinks fictional characters are targeted and refuses to listen to otherwise? Of course. Well, it seriously sucks ass to be him right now. I have a few total hard drive nuking programs, so I can be fine if I blow the stuff up right now, right?
Right?
The knocking I heard moments later proved me wrong.

I know, I just played into what all anti-Lolicon say will happen to people like myself. But things will change for this person - Well, maybe. It all depends on the hand life decides to deal him.
More to come.
