It was pretty unexpected (because I have never wrote a poem in my life before) I couldn't get to sleep... and it was the 3rd night which pretty much explains it. It's terrible and not orginal however I found it quite funny the rambalings of a tired me
Sleep, why so elusive?
why don't you ever come to me
forsooth,it seems conclusive
I miss you, Sleep.
Pleasing you was so hard,
But you should come back;
I'll play you songs, so sweet, like an ancient bard.
I miss you, Sleep.
Teasing me, making my eyes heavy-lidded,
But still on the wrong medication, I bid.
Why, oh, why have you departed -
Leaving me enervated and broken-hearted.
Sleep, help me dream,
And become less monstrous, and sane person;
You won't return - on me you ream.
I miss you, Sleep.
Without you I come up with crazy ideas.
For you, I'd denounce my God,
And worship Muhammad like the Shias.
I miss you, Sleep.
I will be smited for my commitment to you.
In this insomnia, what am I to do?
Why, oh, why have you departed?
Leaving me so enervated and broken-hearted...
(man I just re-read that I chuckled at the 3rd to last stanza)
