Just 15 Words

Heya~
(Apologies if anything in this post is incorrect, in the wrong place, shocking backwards, out of touch, apparently insane, cliched, unfashionable, frowned upon, or in some other way violating some social or official rule, I'm new to this place and only just learning the ropes ^-^ Also, hi community *waves*)

I want to start a story-chain, a collaborative story composed of posts of a few words.

This certainly isn't the most original idea in the world, and I'm sure you've seen and participated in variants in a bunch of other forums before - probably there's even been one on here before - but I always find them fun. And I'm curious to see what a community like the Fakku Writer's Guild will produce together.

• The story is open for anyone to participate in.

• Each contribution to the story should be 15 words long. No more and no less~

• I've selected 15 words rather than the more traditional 1 or 5 to give posters some actual creative control over the work, as well as allowing for a greater degree of quality of writing, while still keeping it short enough that single posts can't dominate the narrative's progression.

• If a post does not obey the 15 word rule it doesn't count towards the story, and should be ignored. So please make sure you check your section's length before posting ^^

• Hyphenated words only count as one word, but only so long as they are words that are normally hyphenated. E.g. "mother-in-law" counts as one word, "He gave a shrug-wave" is five words.

• It's a first-come-first-serve system. The first post that correctly and coherently continues the story is the next post to be responded to.

• Anyone is free to post things outside of the story, such as commentary, but please make sure you clearly label it as such.

• Please do not try to solicit other writers into working the story in a particular direction, although a general "I hope that X happens" or "It would be cool to see character Y come back again" is fine.

• There is no fixed genre. You can bring in elements of comedy, Gothic, romance, sci-fi, classical, modernism, realism, horror, anime tropes/cliches, eroticism, absurdism... well, anything really ^-^ Just try to make sure it's coherent from the last post.

• The story takes place in the 3rd person.

• You can continue the story from any post except for your own. The only exception to this is if the story has gone for a full 3 days/ 72 hours without a new story section being added.

• And, always the most important rule: Be nice, have fun ^^

Yes, we had a couple notable community collaborative threads. You can check my created topics to find them, though some members of this sub-forum might prefer they stay buried for all time.
