NaNoWriMO 2011

November is coming up. Are any fakkudians going to participate in National Novel Writing Month? Or have you taken part to it before? If you will, care to share what sort of story you are going to write?

I should have plenty of freetime next month, so I decided to try this for the first time. I have a few ideas to choose from, even though all of them need some finishing touches.

I've never heard of this before, care to post a link that explains it, or explain it yourself?

Hmm... sounds very interesting, if I had written a novel before, I'd definitely participate. But right now, I lack experience on that.

To be honest I haven't either... or at least not anything that I have managed to finish. Fail is in the air It's a challenge for sure.

Third year in a row. Last year lost horribly because I crashed and burned. This year, I'm writing smut in the darkest form.

This'll be my third year, though not consecutive.

And technically, I'm going to be restarting a novel that stalled last year. It's at about 50,000 words now I've spent the past few weeks going over it, reviewing it and fixing it up, so come November I'll be ready to go all in. Another 50,000 or so should be enough to finish it off.

I posted a thread about it last year. Some people seemed interested, but idk if anyone ever went through with it. If I didn't have classes, I'd probably give it a shot this year.

Seriously, don't worry if you've never written a novel before. NaNo is the best way to learn. Aside from peer pressure and the reward of a nice pretty pdf, it makes you sit your arse in a chair and write 1600 words every day, and getting into a steady routine is THE key to good productive writing.
