Poll: What's your favorite Fanfiction Genre?

I'm a regular on fanfiction.net, and an aspiring writer. I've always casually wondered how most people feel about Canon, AU and Crackfics. I wish I could make this poll "select your favorite two" though...

(Sorry if I missed your favorite Genre, I just picked these ones off the top of my head).

According to Urban Dictionary:

crackfic
A type of fanfiction (or original fiction) that is intentionally unbelievable and insane; often humorous. Usually short, one-shot stoires.
"Sarah's new crackfic is fuckin' hilarious, you should go read it!"

I like for fanfics to be as close to the canon as possible, but are not entirely restricted to it. The Eva doujin Re-Take is a good example of what I mean. The occasional AU fic is good, as it allows for the expansion of story plots that were not fully embellished in the original work, and it allows for a wider range of character relationships that would be impossible following the canon.

I particularly don't mind what kind of fic it is, as long as it's written well and not some twisted piece of crap. If you don't mind, could I read some of your stuff? I'm sick of having to claw my way through thousands of fics to find a few good ones.

I do skive over the fics with pairings I don't particularly like, but meh. ^_^
