I wrote this a few months ago, on a train. I was really bored, and had two hours to kill, so I just wrote this up. It's pretty short, I'd say, and not too interesting, but I found it sort of cute, I guess.
Warning: Shounen-Ai (SFW)
Only two characters, the boy and the man. Take it as you will. :P
“Your dad’s pretty hot,” He says across the room, and the other boy instinctively covers his face with his hands, cheeks reddening quickly. Peeking up from his safety, he stares back, “Where the hell did that come from?”
As the boy goes back to burying his embarrassed face in his arms, the older male speaks up again, “Well, I mean, I’m on his Facebook page right now. You know. There are pictures on it and stuff. That I can look at,” He chuckles a bit, and the boy sighs again.
That’s the problem with homosexuals; they’re greedy. It seems that by limiting themselves to their own sex, the one they can identify with best, they figure their domain is just about anyone in that sex. Being bisexual himself, the other boy is much stricter, because if he was like his boyfriend, but had twice as many people to choose from, he’d surely go insane from all the possibilities.
To spite him, the boy uncurls from his ball, and fiddles around on his own computer, before showing his lover the image on the screen, of a rather attractive woman, “Your sister’s pretty hot, too.”
The man quickly goes on the defensive, “Whoa, no, you can’t say that!” The boy pouts, and gets up, putting his laptop down, the image of the girl still on the screen, “Oh? And why can’t I, when you can say that about my father?”
By the time the man has a chance to respond, the boy is up against him, head resting against his shoulder, eyes closed, “That’s different. You can’t be looking at women when you’re with me, you know. It’s just not right,” The boy lightly puts his clenched fist against the man’s side, “And why can’t I? You have your things you’re attracted to, and I have mine. So why can’t we both like them?”
It was clear that, while they were arguing, they both thought no less of each other from it. In fact, it only served to strengthen the bond between them. The boy, however, was slightly annoyed with how his lover was responding, with his biphobic comments. He didn’t show it, though, not at all.
“I mean, bisexuality is better, so you must be jealous, right?” He jokes, and sighs again, arms wrapping around his boyfriend’s waist gently. The man shakes free, and looks back at him, clearly distressed, “What?”
Oops.
“I… I’m sorry, I was just joking around,” The boy responds, “But… mm, why can’t I still like women? It’s the same as when you look at all those men you like… and if you can be yourself, why can’t I?”
The man realizes his mistake. The whole time, he was worried that the boy would leave him for a woman. If it was a man, he could at least take solace in the fact that he found that person attractive as well, and could better understand why the boy would leave him. But if the lucky person was a girl, well...
He wouldn't know what to do.
Sighing, the man puts his hand atop the younger boy's head, and he responds with a shy glance away, his cheeks turning slightly red. Even the older one was blushing a little, and as he spoke, the awkwardness in his tone was apparent, “Well... yeah, I guess you're right... I was just worried that I wouldn't be able to understand why you'd break up with for a woman. I mean, with a man, it ma-”
The man was cut off by a gentle kiss on his lips. He returns it, not knowing what else to do, as the boy parts their lips, and gently nuzzles his head in against his chest, “Don't finish that sentence... I don't want to hear that stuff. If I broke up with you, it wouldn't be because I found someone better, it wouldn't because you weren't good enough... there isn't a reason in the world that I would ruin this...” He giggles a bit, and relaxes against the man.
The man, relieved, puts his hands around the boy's back, and simply holds him close, as he looks down, “Good...”
