The Awkward Otaku(ish)
Deep in some woods that could almost perfectly be described as the middle of nowhere; two vague shapes emerged from the shadows. The two vague shapes were High school girls Michi Ito and Jessica Daniels. They looked tired and as if they had been walking for hours.
"Well I think we're lost" the first girl said while letting out a sigh. She shook head so that her hair wouldn't cling to her body. Her name was Jessica. The other girl, Michi replied rather angrily. Even though they were friends she just started yelling
" I know we're lost Jess! You don't need to tell me that."
The two of them sat their for a while, sweaty and angry not wanting to say anything to each other. It was Michi who had gotten them lost but that didn't really matter now. Michi and Jessica were in the middle of some random woods about to be eaten by bears. Or so they thought.
"Do you think if we make a fire it'll scare the bears away" Jessica asked as they made their way to an abandoned cabin.
"I'm not sure" Michi finally said after a while and much to Jessica's disappointment.
They started ripping up their homework and making a fire outside. They both smiled and laughed telling stories to each other around the camp fire.
Jessica was a natural red head and to Michi who was a loner and didn't get along that well with people she wondered why Jessica was even her friend sometimes. In contrast to Michi's personality Jessica was outgoing everyone seemed to like her. Jessica was also very cute not that Michi wasn't. Michi had short black hair and was Japanese while Jessica was a foreigner from America. Michi was really tall and kind of a tomboy. If it wasn't for the fact that they had a school uniform she would probably always wear jeans.
"Think our class is looking for us."
Michi replied "well I'm sure they have they police involved by now. But I don't know-"
"You don't know about what?"
"Nothing, never mind" 'Michi started scoping out the abandoned couch the go to sleep on but Jessica ran over and asked her what she meant.
Michi stared at Jessica for a while and then she sighed not really wanting to say anything. They she finally yelled "you shouldn't have come with me. It's my fault we're lost but if you would have stayed behind. If you would have blown of school like you do any other time then this wouldn't have happened!"
"Well I wanted to come with you. Why would I want to partner up with anyone else. We're supposed to be best friends. No matter what anyone says." Jessica had started shouting too and now they were both in each other's faces.
Michi's eyes glistened with tears mostly of happiness but she wasn't really the crying.
"I mean really Michi how ridiculous can you be. Me not wanting to be your partner on a field trip. Who would I be partners with?" Jessica that rhetorical question which made Michi think who her partner would be. A look of horror filled her face. Would she have to partner with the teacher. How lame. What high-school student has to do that.
All of a sudden Jessica was blushing. For some reason that made Michi blush as well. "Were you zoned out of something Michi I said I love you."
Michi was completely caught of guard but before she could say anything Jessica leaned up and kissed Michi on the mouth.
Jessica giggled "your a lot taller then me. That could be a problem,"
"W-what Jess what was that all about you l-love me." Michi in all of her sixteen years of living had never been confessed to. But she was ok with that. Now her best friend and really only friend was confessing her love for her. Her love. Was Michi ok with that? Was she a lesbian or bisexual or whatever? She had no idea sometimes she wondered if she was even straight let alone gay. She fell into a panic as Jessica put her arms around her. Michi really wasn't sure what to do.
"We're in an abandoned cabin. In movies that's one of the best places to do it. Unless it's like a horror movie or something" Jessica giggled.
"W-what" Michi stammered blushing and wondering if she should hug Jessica back. Just as Jessica was about to say something the door swung open, light filled the room and some parking dogs started barking.
"Oh are you girls ok" a police man asked? Jessica had an annoyed look on her face. Michi looked totally flustered.
"Yes officer we're um fine" Michi finally said.
The two girls were given blankets even though it wasn't that cold and sandwiches even though they had already eaten. Jessica tried to tell the police officer as they were walking but they wanted them to eat.
"These are like the blankets they give out to victims" Michi said slinging hers over her shoulder.
The group of police officers, blood hounds and school girls walked on through the forest. As they did Jessica asked "so do you have anything to say?"
Michi whispered for some reason "about what?"
That caused Jessica to laugh "about what? Like how I professed my love to you and stole your first kiss." Jessica put her index finger to her own lips and traced around them.
"W-what are you talking about? How do you even know it was my first kiss."
Jessica just ignored her completely "hmm and if they wouldn't have stopped me I bet I would have taking your virgini-"
"Jess shut up" Michi yelled blushing.
At this point the police officers had noticed their conversation but decided it wasn't any of their concern. Unless Jess wasn't joking.
Jessica faked a yawn " all this yelling and your still not going to give me an answer."
Michi pouted " I mean, what would our parents think." She wasn't really asking more like thinking out loud.
" Who cares what our parents think" Jessica shook her head and then asked " what do you think."
After a long pause Michi said "I used to to I only liked you as a friend Jess. But I don't know I've never liked anyone before, in a romantic way. It's really awkward to talk about but I think when you kissed me I um sort of knew that I um liked you back."
Jessica smiled and hugged Michi. "Well that's good enough for me" she said happily.
Michi was very happy even though she fidgeted some when Jessica hugged her and then tried to kiss her again. "J-Jess we have to keep moving" she said blushing and feeling herself tense up.
"But Michi" Jessica said in a fake crying voice " those bears. Bears could attack us and you have to protect us. With your Judo or whatever you do."
"You can't just kill a bear with Judo."
"I'm not saying kill it" Jessica quickly shot back " I'm saying protect me." She clung to Michi as the walked.
" Ugh Jess." Michi was about to say something about how they would explain this to their parents but Jess seemed so happy so she just let it got,
"We're almost to the car ladies, you just have to walk a little further" Said one of the police officers,
"If you want we can give you a ride to your homes."
"Thank you" Jessica and Michi both said nodding.
As close as Michi and Jessica were before they were much closer now. Jessica said in the car to Michi that they could tell their children that on their first date they spend the night at a 'love cabin.' They were both very happy that they had gotten lost in the woods together though.
The story is 1,308 words including the title. I wanted to write more ...love related stuff but it just didn't happen. Ugh I might go and make changes to it. I just wanted to write it so that it would be written <.< ...

Yes, another Yuri writer! Yay! Hm...this was sweet, but it feels a little rushed. I like the idea of the cabin in the woods to push romance. It's simple, but it still gets the job done surprisingly.
This story could use some editing. It feels very raw like it's a first draft. Since you have some time, I suggest you do that. Good for you on contributing and welcome to the writing section! I hope you write many more stories!

Yes, another Yuri writer! Yay! Hm...this was sweet, but it feels a little rushed. I like the idea of the cabin in the woods to push romance. It's simple, but it still gets the job done surprisingly.
This story could use some editing. It feels very raw like it's a first draft. Since you have some time, I suggest you do that. Good for you on contributing and welcome to the writing section! I hope you write many more stories!
