I started a story, and I'm not sure if I should continue it.
This is the first time I'm posting works publicly, so please use constructive criticism.

Chapter 0.5
A twirl of a cloak, a flash of a badge and he was inside. He sat at a table and awaited his entourage. Over the course of the next hour, several other figures drifted in the same way, a tall girl, and two other men. Had anyone paid any attention to the group, they would have found them all to be rather pale of complexion and dark haired. Such features could only be typical of underworlders, deprived of sunlight and Vitamin D. That was, if anyone had paid any attention to them, which they did not.
"Now that we are all here, lets begin with a toast!" The girl was the one who spoke, but her voice seemed distant, as if he could not tell where it was coming from.
"A toast to the long reign of King Vem!" This time it was one of the men, the burlier of the two. His voice was full of friendly sarcasm. The girl again,
"Vem, are you alright?" He got up to speak, but was uneasy on his feat soon falling back into his chair. He spoke, dazed and slowly,
"I'm not feeling well, perhaps it would be best to postpone the celebration...?", he trailed off, obviously lost in deep thought. The burly man spoke again,
"Nonsense! What's wrong Vem, this isn't like you?" Vem began again,
"Maybe it is my newly appointed title, but I feel like everyone here is looking at me.
"As if they would even look at us underworlder folk," He laughed darkly, the cheeriest drained from his expression. The girl spoke this time, clearly nervous,
"Not so loud! Do you want to get us kicked out?",
