Minimalism is a genre of art (writing, music, art etc.) with alot of the details stripped to a bare minimum. Hence why I have very little description words,(E.G. "The man picked up a tissue, and blew his nose." would becomes "The man blew his nose." Although the former could be used in all writing, it is the main element in minimalist fiction.) also, the story stays in the present tense, and doesn't jump forward or back with fore sight or recollection. Typically, the stories have a short climax, but no definite resolution, just a denouement (the final resolution of the intricacies of a plot, as of a drama or novel.) . They can almost be seen as an average "every day story" with nothing interesting in particular. If you'd like to see some other writers, Raymond Carver is a prominent American minimalist writer, and is worth checking out. Glad you like my story!
