This year's annual
Winter Writing Contest has reached the end and the winners have been decided by both the judges and community! We judges apologize for the delay, a few life events came up that interfered with the process.
Without further ado, congratulations goes to
sora_coltrane for winning the
Judge's Choice award with his most favored submission of
Winter to Summer’s Prose. Your piece was very eloquently written, with very few errors and displayed a cute story that covered big concepts and transformed your ideas into a quaint story that really represents the little things we think about during this precious time. We also wanted to honor
xninebreaker as the
Runner-up for the lovely and heartwarming entry
Nothing to Give. I have felt personally attached to these incredible characters as more and more of their lives gets revealed with each passing entry. Thank you for gracing us with their story.
Congratulations also goes to
Livided for winning the
Reader's Choice award with his exceedingly favored submission of
The little things... as the Writing and Fanfiction community determined it to be the top entry in the
final poll. Also, a work well done by
Cinia Pacifica for his submission of
The Perfect Companion, as it was deemed the
Runner-up. You have improved so much since you started writing in this section, Rise. I'd just like to say I'm very proud of the progress you've made.
With some details about the prizes, sora_coltrane has officially won the translation of a piece of Hentai manga or doujinshi by
FUKE. However, some of you may have noticed that the winner of the
Reader's Choice award was also in fact the one who supplied the prize for it. It has been decided between myself and Livided that we will allow sora_coltrane to trade his prize with Livided if he so desires. I will provide an additional prize for Livided if you decide you like your prize more, so don't feel pressured either way. It's your choice.
Regardless of that, both sora_coltrane and Livided have won a forum signature made by our very own judge:
Circe. Please PM her all the details you would like. I would suggest it contain your status as the winners of your respective award, but that's entirely up to you.
Additionally, xninebreaker and Cinia Pacifica have won a forum signature made by the beneficent
Nekohime. Please also PM her all the details you would like.
Although, the forum rank title of "
FAKKU Writer" was never confirmed for this contest, I will let someone among the higher ups know of the winners just in case it could be granted to them for their most deserving entries. No promises, but I hope they'll grant it.
Lastly, special thanks goes out to all the submissions and authors who participated in this year's contest and I hope it was as rewarding for you as it was for us, on behalf of the judges:
Circe,
SamRavster, and myself. Thank you, it was an honor to arrange and judge this contest for you all. I will now provide my specific corrections and comments on entries to those of you who desire it.
May next year hold even greater things for us all.
