On September 10th, 2015 we will be retiring the FAKKU Books Founder achievement. Meaning September 10th is your last chance to receive the achievement if you don't already have it. For the past year the achievement has been given to users that have purchased one of our books. The achievement was a way to show that you supported us during our transition into a legitimate publisher. September 10th will mark one year from when we started giving out the achievement, making it the perfect time to retire it.
The Job of a Service Committee Member will be the last book eligible to receive the FAKKU Books Founder achievement. Going forward we will replace the founder achievement with a more general supporter achievement. In addition to the new achievement we will be publishing the second edition of Renai Sample. It will include dialogue/grammar updates and a lot of improvements based on things we learned over the past year. If you own the digital edition of the book, you will automatically receive the updated version when it is released.

To kick off the beta test of subscriptions we have made two new chapters available to beta testers. These chapters will be available to everyone when the service goes live, but for now only beta testers will be able to access them. We will be randomly picking beta testers from this forum thread. If you are interested in becoming a tester and comfortable starting your subscription early (while we work out the bugs), leave a reply in the thread!

Long time user. First time buyer and poster. I've been holding out recently on buying fakku books. But I've scrunched up a good amount of change to buy a few. I go and click on "purchase book" and it takes me to my cart and my cart tells me its empty. Help?What browser are you using? I'll try to figure out what's wrong and get it fixed

The right one is the Fakku version.I was surprised to get my shipping message on Sunday, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived on Tuesday.
Amazon' packaging was mediocre, Fakku themselves pack the books much better, I was worried about damage to the book when I got the package, but it made it out OK.
I had a friend pick up the Japanese book and bath poster for me when he was in Japan, eternally grateful to him.
Good to know, but (and I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record) does it have the Bridal art anywhere? I really like that drawing.
If it's not in the book, it'd at least make for a lovely poster.
The bridal art is on the inner cover (underneath the jacket).

We've started sending out pre-orders for TiTiKEi! It'll take a while to get through them all, but you should start receiving your copies soon.
We have no plans to support WebM avatars (and I don't think we ever said we would). It's not really an appropriate file format for an avatar, especially when it natively supports audio. I recommend converting your avatar to a gif and uploading that.

So let's get a few things straight: EPUB is basically stripped down HTML and CSS. Besides the clusterfuck that CSS inherently is, EPUB has its own quirks dealing with how pages are separated. Plus, there's no discernible advantage to using EPUB over PDF or CBR. EPUB was made for adaptive formatting but when you're compiling page-separated image files there's no point to that as there'd be hard page breaks anyways.I'm really not sure where EPUB would be useful. Any ebook reader will support PDF and if you have a phone there's plenty of CBZ readers out there for whatever OS you're on. Perfect Viewer is what I use on android. ComicRack works well on iOS. iBooks and Google Play support PDF out of the box.
It's not that EPUB is impossible, it's simply not worth the effort when there's simpler formats for comics out there.

Interesting discussion, I actually have some plans to do special printed issues of the magazines. They would be extremely limited and we'd do them a few times a year for collectors. Maybe something like a best of 2015 issue, where we select the best chapters that appeared in Kairakuten/X-Eros over the past year based on the response on FAKKU. We could even have artists do new art for it!
That said this is getting off-topic, please make a new thread to discuss these kinds of ideas (because I like hearing them). This thread is about wanting to participate in the beta so I have a list of users I can get in contact with.
