Night terror happened while sleep walking, in the dream I fell off a building after being shot, and woke up to find that I had fallen off my kitchen table.
From a biological stand point, this would be terrible. Young old people would collapse from heart failure, or the body could shut down since it no longer has a key process. Or the surgery goes wrong and people die in droves, or new forms of diseases form, since everyone is young old, meaning something new. How would you prevent diseases, or get a physical? Is it even practical?

If you feel like a burden, then something needs to change. Get a new job, volunteer at a shelter, donate to charity, move to somewhere new. Cease the part of you that makes you feel like a burden, and move on.
Virtual reality gaming. When it happens, it will be awesome, as long as there are certain parameters in place. One, is it like a suit you wear in a rig, or jack in like matrix? If it is suit that is going to take a long time, but if you do matrix, then you have protocols, like internet. If the user tried to access the internet while jacked in, the dump of info would kill them. If they died in the game, what would happen in real life? What if they were hacked? Can you imagine what would happen? The person could be reprogrammed, or wiped clean. Then what?

No self respecting programmer would make an AI without a kill switch, that if the AI messed with the kill switch, it would be destroyed.
