Adapting visual novels into anime appears to be the rage these days. For each anime season, there is bound to be at least one title taking the above approach. I would assume it is beneficial for both the animation studio and producers of the game to collaborate with one another, since the former can ride on the popularity of the visual novel, while the latter can grab the opportunity to increase sales, even if its product has been released quite some time ago.
Anyway, I digress. I admit I have yet to play through the visual novel of Kiss on my Deity, but hearing that it will be animated has caught my attention, since there were positive reviews about the game (though some may claim otherwise). According to my limited knowledge, supernatural beings and spirits are some of the key themes in Kiss on my Deity. Of course, as with all other visual novel adaptations, one can expect to see romance brewing between the male protagonist and the various female characters. However, unlike the recent Akane Iro Ni Somaru Saka, I doubt there will be a surprising twist to its end, especially when it comes to the eventual pairing of characters. Then again, one can never be sure of such things.
Enough of the long talk. Why anyone should watch Kiss on my Deity:
- Beautiful character design (at least in my opinion), which should follow suit in the anime
- Being a visual novel adaptation, I foresee fanservice
- Schoolgirls ("Not Again!?" - Random voice in the Fakku community) :D
- At least one Miko-like female character
- If you are a fan of the supernatural and romance genres combined
A promotional video to get one started:
For those who possess a good understanding of Japanese seeking to obtain further information, the following would be an official(?) blog site:

And if you are only interested in viewing images, do take a look at the official visual novel website, which I feel is indirectly linked to the anime:

Who else has Tayutama~ Kiss on my Deity on their Spring 2009 watch-list?
P.S.
Spoiler:
Before anyone asks, Girlcelly has uploaded the visual novel to Fakku, found here: https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=12578. Not sure if the links are still available.
Yes this is on my watch list, now I just have to download the game.

and yes they're still active, just checked it last night.
Ehm, I'm sorry to bother, but does anyone around here know if there's any group subbing it? I've found episode one subbed by Ayako ( http://ayako-fansubs.eu/ ), but it somehow looks like they dropped it. Well, to be honest, I just wasn't able to find anything on their forums&web since it seems like a real mess to me.
The first episode got me in, so it's a little bit depressing that I'm not able to find anything. :?
I'm not really impressed by this series, especially when I think the animation looks cheap. It does feature Norio Wakamoto, so it might be worth it just for that, but knowing that there aren't any fansub groups picking this series up attests to something.
