He was my favorite comedian since I was 9. Something that pissed me off a little is that I'm digging up quotes, which I'm surprised I don't have and on this one site there was a poll. It said, "With George Carlin gone, who is the greatest living stand-up comedian?" They had Dane Cook and a bunch of others who are a far cry from "greatest living stand-up comedian," but they didn't have Lewis Black who I've always considered 2nd, after George Carlin.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
