If you haven't read Cuvie's manga "La Magnifique Grande Scene" (the magnificent grande scene) it's about ballet, read it it's good. I didn't think Cuvie's shit would get posted on here but I'm glad it did. Fuck yeah, hell yeah. I'm feeling this one. God-tier. Let's go.
Edit: Wow, a LOT of Cuvie's shit is on here, actually. Based.
Sooooo, this on the one hand is dressed up as the culmination of an unrequited romance plot line but conversely drops details where the teacher uses all the appropriate talking points on following the rules, understanding the age difference etc while we are shown that thinking of her as a minor ENCOURAGES his arousal, not discourage it! This is like retroactively telling us that his "restraint" when he was her teacher only got in the way of a true love that wasn't at all predatory (sure, whatever helps you sleep at night). My problem is again not that I don't understand that it's fantasy but that this sort of narrative shapes justification and rationalization of generally unacceptable behaviors. Yes in the story he has sex with the adult version but it is suggested that mentally he is fucking underage her instead. Why? Because she "WANTED it", underage or not, position of authority or not, and that is the justification narrative of too many abusive scenarios. Considering that we all have women in our lives, Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Nieces, Cousins, etc-- now consider that in their vulnerable, formative years this guy (or others worse) was their teacher... Not so sexy anymore, is it? But hey, visually it looks good and IF you don't ask any questions you MIGHT squeak past it but if the moral of the story is amoral what are you left with?
Me: Basically me, every time a Cuvie story gets released.
