Fun fact (also spoiler warning, so you might wanna read the chapter first):
There's a very apparent wordplay going on in this chapter that was lost in translation. Shiota Io > shio taiou = cold reception. Then at the end when it's heavily implied that the two characters get married, she takes on his name which now makes her: Kamida Io > kami taiou = warm reception!
Came to the comments looking for something at least similar to this. But yes I agree needs the marriage sequel, you cant mention it and not show us. Lol
He clearly has the right idea. The others were discouraged the moment she started using more more technical language regarding electric currents and brain activity...But he went along with it and replied in the same fashion too.
Great ending though! Too bad we never got to see it, but I'm glad to know that they have a happy ending together, married and in love.
Kanda-kun not only confirmed himself as a Man Of Culture by falling for older girl, but proved by his actions the truth of the saying: "He who perseveres to the end (regarding his feelings for Shiota-senpai) Will Get Laid" ... and, according to the story's closing words, later get the jackpot (the Lucky Bastard).
In The End: "Isn't That Cute? ... BUT IT'S RIGHT!" ✌
