Aika Zero

If anybody have heard or watched Aika series knows what to expect of the anime, lots of pantsu. The latest of the series addition is the Aika Zero ova, set between the original Agent Aika and Aika R-16. In this ova Aika is 19 years old, attending college and in training as an agent. Aika is voiced again by Ami Koshimizu who voiced also voiced Aika in Aika R-16. Well Ami Koshimizu is also responsible for voicing Horo(Spice and Wolf) and Kallen(Code Geass) also my waifu Nodoka(Saki) so that's a big plus. :)

Well it might not be as ecchi as some of the recent anime, but anime that have pantsu shot like every seconds is always good for me especially this one.

Watching some parts of the first episode reminded me of Strike Witches...(Never did bother to finish watching that series)

One thing that always impressed me in AIKa and Najica Blitz Tactics was the massive amount of panty shots with some half-decent action.

k i never really gave the Aika series a chance thou I did enjoy the Najica series, can someone provide me an actual comparison about what each might have over the other, story/action/panty shots/etc which does better than the other, then maybe I'll give it a chance nano desu

Aika, a salvager working for a very small salvaging company accepts a risky mission to find an artifact which pays good money. In the mission she got caught by a group that is also searching for the artifact. The group which operates on a battleship and crew consists of women is lead by Rudolph Hagen (Someone you really wants to punch him in the face just by looking at him). This guy wanted to populate the world with his so superior genes and with the crew on his ship and also wanted Aika too as part of his scheme…

This Ova have 7 episodes including a special trial episode. The first 4 is the story of Aika against Rudolph Hagen and his Demol Corps. Episode 5,6,7 is Aika against the Demol girls(I love the girls) which is pretty funny. In the OVA, she have ability to change into another version of Aika with her special bustier. However this is quite old compared to the other OVA and use cel shaded style which is no longer used in anime.

Aika, who is 16 years old in this OVA just got her C license as a salvager. She decided to do business by advertising her service at school. Her business got interrupted by her class rep Eri who removed her ads though she later invited Aika to go for an adventure in a quest to uncover Karen's secret who had a butterfly tattoo on her chest.

This OVA consists of 3 episodes, it’s more of teenage girls goes for an adventure with lots of humor. The mission is not as big as the original OVA, it’s more of helping a girl in uncovering her past.




Not much that I can tell here since the OVA just started recently.

From what I have watched, Aika who is now 19 infiltrated a college to find out about one group who I think calls themselves the White Knight. The leader who seems to be controlled by some sort of glowing wire thingy is also controlling other students at the college.(All girls of course) Characters from Aika R-16 made a return in this OVA helping Aika with her mission.




To me the original Aika is the better choice to watch, the threat is bigger and it have more episodes than the other OVA which means more panty shots(which is a lot of them) and more actions. One of the episodes, the Demol corps sent two armored vehicle into a hotel which Aika and co. stole one of them resulting in a battle against another one inside the hotel which is kinda cool and funny for me.

If you enjoyed watching Najica I see no reason why you would not enjoy Aika since they are both directed by the same person and Najica is considered a spiritual successor to the original Aika anime.
