you might want to put your post in a spoiler.

Not sure, but if you look at the gale thruster when haru was using it, it looked like it was composed of two parts, i.e. sky raker's legs. It's still too short though.

My point is, maybe the gale thruster changed to fit haru's avatar. I mean, they're living in a world with neurolinkers and all that, I think an equipment that adapts to it's user isn't entirely impossible.

Rockets doesn't need to jump to fly right?
If that Rocket can throw away excess weight it would be lighter, and it would probably can climb higher.

Basically Sky Raker's ability isn't really the jump, but the propulsion that it got from the gale thrusters, much like SpaceRocket Propulsion.
That's why her Titles when she was active were "Astro", "ICBM" and "Icarus"

Does anyone know the name of the song in Episode 1 that plays right after Haruyuki hides in a bathroom and enters the virtual world? It starts at around 2:16. I've been looking for it for ages but I haven't found it in the OST or any of the singles.
