PreÂdicÂtion time! †˜I don’t have many friends’ will be touted as a a potenÂtial hit by cerÂtain light novel fans, while large swathes of the more elitÂist audiÂence will remain scepÂtical. HowÂever, once the first episÂode airs, the more advenÂturÂous of anime fans will check it out and declare that, apart from a few kinks, †˜I don’t have many friends’ is a qualÂity title about the loneliÂness of high teenÂage life and the anxiÂety and desire to fit in. Soon everyÂone jumps on the bandÂwagon, only for little things to start going wrong. As the anime proÂceeds beyÂond the first novel materÂial, the oriÂginal intent of the story starts to get lost. New female charÂacÂters are introÂduced, and each one becomes less interÂested in being friends and more about wantÂing the male lead’s juicy manÂpiece. Soon the show starts introÂduÂcing beach and hot spring episÂodes, leanÂing furÂther and furÂther into fanserÂvice harem. The male lead starts acciÂdentÂally undressÂing the female charÂacÂters while fallÂing onto them. Each charÂacÂter falls furÂther away from what makes them unique and delve into cliche and steÂreoÂtype, until finally the anime ends with some crowÂbarred attempt at conÂflict, no resÂolÂuÂtion and posÂsibly some cenÂsored nudÂity. Call me back at ChristÂmas when I’ve been proven correct.
I so copied that from TheCartDriver.
Anyway, that's one side of my brain, while the other side says, "CHARACTER DESIGN = DENPA ONNA TO SEISHUN OTOKO. WATCH IT." I am so conflicted.
