Ok, checked the anime/manga forum for about 35 pages, and used the search bar, but only found a topic in mecha/toys, not one about the upcoming tv show.

It airs in October, but a Prequel? (dunno if its right term), has already aired earlier this year and can be found here

Overall it looks like a strange show at first but, after watching the first part, it actually looks really interesting.

btw, anyone else think, "Can I fuck it?"

i've watched the short series and i think this is gonna be a money sink. two things that figure otakus react to usually are girls and mechs. and seeing as busou shinki shows more of the mech side compared to angelic layer, it may end with a hollow story but more showcase for the product

i don't think it would be. judging from the short series, it may not affect the whole tv series once it's out.

i watch this anime, but seem like the fight just like Infinite Stratos !!but thi anime quite interesting !!!

6 inch tall, scantily clad and obedient robot girls, who refer to a dude as master...this show feels like it was made for some weird, fetishist otaku or something. Eh. That aside, seems like a passable show. Nothing great, but I'll watch.

Episode 2.

Am I being too picky or does the animation feel bad? I've never been too good at noticing it but watching this, the animation looks off. Also the art is sloppy at times. I like the art-style but some scenes look like they were drawn by a different company, and a bad one at that.

Overall for an anime made to sell toys, in the likes of Gundam and Saint Seiya, it does a poor job, imo, in selling its product. They didn't showcase the features that make each model unique. The seemingly poor animation and drop in quality in the art does not help also.

The story isn't much to talk about. I've seen worse so it's not like it's unbearable.

I don't know much about the specifics but it looks like the last time they released a new model was March 2011. Couple that with the fact the MMO game was shut down October 2011 this anime seems out of place. The toy line is stagnant and the game is dead. Unless they are making a big release of a new game/model that I'm unaware, which is highly possible, there's nothing for them to promote with this anime. If they are trying to renew the interest in it it's a failure imo. It's possible also that they had this anime in the production line for some time and once the interest for it died they just held it back until now when they needed a filler and decided to make it. Which would explain the poor quality in production imo.

In the end it's not the worst thing I ever saw, it's not even the worst anime this season imo, but it also is nothing to write home about. I'll probably watch it and forget it ever existed after. That is if I remember to watch it, since there's nothing too appealing about it I might drop it just because of forgetfulness.

I'm leaning towards your opinion but it's just ep 2 so I'm holding back on it. I kind of missed the short series since it had better art somehow. The owner is just for the title "Master" in these two eps and somehow it's a -point. I'm getting the impression this is way too focused on the shinki's, there's gotta be a human-shinki partnership arc somewhere that would really hold the viewers. Just hold on, I'm not saying it'll turn epic but it may be entertaining in the end at least.
