Recently i've started to lose interest in the harem genre. Like its gotten to the point where if an anime starts to become too harem focused/having too many harem tropes i start to lose interest.
Anyone else having(or had) this experience with a anime genre? Also you can post multiple answers to this, it is just i'm only feeling this with the harem genre
I've never liked harem in the first place. I dislike tsunderes and young protagonists. Just kinda got tired reading about kids saving the world and stuff. Want someone that is at least 20 years old as the protagonist.
I guess I'm pretty tired of average school-life, romantic, harem kind of anime. Just a typical melodramatic love story with nothing special happening. NOTHING. SPECIAL. AT. ALL.
I guess tsunderes and such characters would fall into this category but hey. They make it fun and interesting to watch for me, something that you don't expect in real life to do. In the end, it's the plotline that should matter to me and how it develops.
The ecchi animes are the ones I actually grew tired of. Though they all don't exactly fall under the same genre, some of them make me go like "really? :/"
Also this next one isn't exactly a genre, but anything involving an overly physically abusive female characters, that shit got old way too fast.
Also the limp-dick-retards, they go beyond more than one single genre.
Genre you've grown tired of? None of course...You watch ecchi for the nudity, You watch horror to be scared, you watch comedy for a laugh, You watch romance to fall in love
Not really a genre. But I am tired of cliche anime ones that do the same things that a million other animes have done before. ones that are really predictable

Slice of life, action, anything that had twist in it, rather simple protag, doesn't bother about saving the world etc.
a little thrilling and exciting. Well I don't bother much about genres, lately have been watched almost airing anime.
Pretty much none.
I honestly believe that there's no such things as too many "genres", it's just that "you're currently watching too many of that genre recently".
I never felt bored or even tired because I usually watch more than 20 titles per season each title balancing each other.
Just as an example, A list of what I'm watching (disregard the episode count, I just like to update that in a bulk.)

Not really sick of any genre I don't think I watch enough of one to get sick of it.
I guess the only thing I'm sick off is a lack of interest in new releases not that I'm not interested it's more to do with knowing nothing about them to make any decisions on buying any. I'm talking about new licensed releases cause I feel most conversations tend to focus on new Japan releases that by the time it's licensed there is no hype about it. And I'm kind of getting sick of just rewatching them and want some thing new.
