Since there hasn't been a topic yet, I thought I'd go ahead and make one.
Description
Spoiler:
"The story is set several centuries into the slow decline of mankind. Earth has now become the realm of "fairies" — 10-centimeter-tall creatures with remarkable intelligence and an appetite for sweets. The human protagonist of the story serves an important duty as the international arbitrator between the fairies and humans, and she returns to her former hometown of Kusunoki. She chose this job because she thought it was an easy job she can do, even when she is as old as her grandfather. However, she learns that her job is anything but simple when she meets the fairies."(from AniDB)
Here's the opening. Commie has the first episode up if your interested. EDIT - Seems Doki is subbing this show as well.
Episode one was.... interesting. Unique art style and fairy chibis with the same faces. I'll keep watching for now though.
Oh and who here likes bread? (don't open unless you've watched the first episode)[/h]
I'm calling it now without any prior knowledge except a hunch. Fairy co. food products are made out of fairies!!! where else are they going to get mass amounts of ingredients when most of the stuff needed to make certain foods is scarce?
My gut hurts so badly from laughing. That bread. Oh god that bread.
The bread part was pretty funny.
Spoiler:
The whole episode was all cute and colorful and then out of nowhere the thing just rips itself open and starts spewing blood (carrot juice)[/h] everywhere. I was like OH GOD WTF ಠ_à²
Loved the first episode. The social criticism/commentary and irony were just hilarious^^
I hope the series maintains this quality in the following episodes!
Btw, the op dance is nice, too xD
So far I'm really liking this show. It has a cute, quirky, and almost dark feel to it and the comedy is great as well. We got to see more skinned chickens this episode and it was pretty funny. Also YES, magic hair.
the whole theme of when does artificial intelligence become regular intelligence, when does errors in calculations become conscious sort of deal was really out of the blue. i laughed though when i realized what they were actually applying these themes to - space probes
Even space probes might have feelings...kinda philosophical and kinda weird, but interesting - that's just how this show is. Oh, I love it ;-)
After six episodes, we're again back to short hair, eh?^^
Can't wait to see what strange adventure we'll see next week :-)
