It has being quite a while that i have an anime that i'm impatient for.
Description
The series follows Koko Hekmatyar, a young arms dealer who sells weapons under HCLI, a weapons corporation.
As one of the company's unofficial weapon sellers, she secretly sells weapons in many countries while avoiding the local authorities and law enforcements as most of her work is actually illegal under international law. Traveling with her is her team of bodyguards who are mostly composed of ex-military veterans.
Her latest addition to her crew is Jonah, a seemingly emotionless child soldier who is skilled in combat yet ironically hates arms dealers. Jonah joins Koko as he wishes to find the arms dealer responsible for his family's death.
What follows is Koko and her crews escapades around the world.
What this anime adaptation got me interested is that the role, Koko Hekmatyar is going to be voiced by Itou Shizuka (OMGOMGOMGOMG). She who usually takes the roles of Ojous and Student presidents, i'm pretty curious to see how she'd give life to the character, one as uncommon as Koko. Then again, thinking back, there were quite a bit of scenes in the manga that reflected on the person herself~
Anyway, tell me how you guys feel towards this series.
I am looking really forward to this series coming out. When it was first announced i always worried about who would carry the voice for Koko. When I learned that Shizuka Itou landed the role I had mixed feelings. She is definitly most fitting for the majority of scenes involving Koko, but i worried how she would portray the darker undertones that koko at times gives off.
I have listened to bits of the drama CD and I can say I liked what I heard. Jörmungandr is probably the series im most excited for this season. Which says a lot considering this season is really good.
Quite content with the first episode. OMGITOUSHIZUKA. Funimation or Whitefox, they need to restudy the side profile of a human being.
Spoiler:
Too straight much?
...
Similar to Tasogare, i felt Jormungand had a blunt start. It wasn't able to explore it's actions genre to it's fullest, be it, using a suitable bgm to making the animation that much longer and smoother. Hopefully that'll change.
Laastly, i went back to check on the first chapter.... They're keeping Koko's personality in leash.... WHY... T^T
