[Anime] Kill la Kill

[color=#006FFF]It definitely feels like now is when the series "starts" what with the introductions of this Nudist faction, Satsuki's "true motives", Ryuko and Senketsu bonding, etc. While it doesn't beat out episode 3 for me, it's definitely a very crucial episode in the series and makes me very curious and even more-so excited to see where the story will take us.

Tsugumu is deinitely up there for me in my top characters of the series thus far as well. I not only love the guy's design (dat mohawk) but his character is stern with a hint of mystery and I love it. I love his little "two important bits of information" quirk too. Just great stuff all around, as usual.

Holy shit I didn't see this power-up coming. Sanageyama was seriously on the money this time.

[color=#006FFF]Where to start.
First off, I absolutely loved this episode and it is probably my favorite episode--either tying with or maybe even beating out episode 3. The episode wasted no time in getting to the point while also giving us some great exposition from Satsuki.

The first battle with Sanegeyama was jaw dropping. I can say with total honesty that I was not expecting him to have a Life Fiber Synchronization of his own but holy shit, my face when he showed his form. I was grinning ear to ear and struggling to keep my fanboy giggles of excitement to myself. I've still got goosebumps. I like that it was relatively easy for Ryuko the first time as it made the second battle all the more impactful. The scenery in the series will never cease to amaze me--the battle zone of the second fight was fantastic.

Moving on from Sanageyama though, I loved the scenes involving Satsuki just as much. The flashback showing her badassery was great, her conversation with Sanageyama was well done, and most importanly, her fucking mother rules over a gigantic Teppelin-looking city!! Can't wait to see how her character turns out (probably won't get that until much later but even so).

I was a little skeptical as to how they could keep the setting to '11' for this series, but this episode certainly did not disappoint. As others pointed out, aside from the epicness of the battles between Matoi and Sanageyama, there is a little more insights into Satsuki as well as her family.

THOSE FUCKING TEARS

Again, CALLED IT. In the previous episode, when Ryuko said she never had a family and the two-toned hair just yelled out she was a bad kid, now we know how she became a proficient fighter. What's with Trigger/team Gurren Lagann killing off the parents of main characters...?

Looks like Satsuki wants to watch the world burn she's going overboard to try to snuff Ryuko. Who would've thought Ira had a sense of justice? Looks like some of the elite four aren't totally evil. That outfit....Bring out the gimp...that is all.

I demand a 10 hour loop of Mako's song.
