Openings and ending just set the tone of the show. If they don't fit at all, it's kind of strange while you're watching it.

The song best conveys Nanami's feelings for Yano and is perfect for the series.

The ending song of Gantz (Last kiss) gives me goosebumps.

That anime was so confusing...they broke up and made up at least 10 times in the show

of all the anime i watched this always gives the excitement of watchng it more even though i can't understand a word they say

I nearly dropped watching the series because of too much drama.XD But I did watch it all the way through just to know how it ends and gosh, it was the most depressing ending ever. XD I felt the same exact feeling after watching "5 cm per second". [/h]

Often times the songs would remind me of the awesome time I had watching the anime and might even tempt me to rewatch the anime. For example;
always makes me want to watch an episode of school rumble.

However there are some songs that are just awesome in their own right. Since I don't really follow the music scene, anime songs a nice way for me to come across new songs.

I'm just making this as an excuse to share some of my favourite anime songs.

This sound about right and applies for all good things that happens in live where music has some memory trigger (unfortunately it goes for bad stuff as well)

I don't like every anime song, but a lot of the Openers really please me; they sound so upbeat, and have optimistic lyrics

well OP/ED are usually mainstream music
sometimes created just for the anime (stuff like lucky star and the nurarihyon ED)
but they're just good songs
although i do like how it gives you an awesome feeling when you watch the OP. Although this doesn't happen much with pop songs but stuff like *finds popular example* death note's OP's just captures the mood and feels so epic

Same reason that we enjoy any music; it's pleasant to listen to, according to our tastes.

Just because it's an anime OP/ED doesn't make it different from any other song. [insert sappy "music is the universal language which unites us all" spiel] But hey- it's true.

I wouldn't say its the best, but the song and visuals is beautiful



As for ending theme I'll go for Ali Project. Well because its Ali Project, its music is unpredictable post modern and if you ask, the singer dresses like Japanese Lady Gaga but we all know she was here first!

Eyeshield 21 Opening 3 - Dang Dang

It all depends on the quality of the OP song TBH cause it can really boost your enjoyment of the show seeing as you have to listen to the fucker like 12+ times anyway its good if it rocks!!

For example look at the Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien OP:

Precious Memories is one of my favourite songs of all time and without this awesome tuneage I think the OP wouldve sucked hard. (It gets me totally ready for the show)

Still having a killer OP doesnt necessarily guarantee success, Ive never been more disappointed in an Anime than Hajime No Ippo: New Challenger! (The OP song totally rocks but oh my my my... Its one bad show)


I was like "HOLY SHIT... Its on now" So psyched about it!

Then I watched it and a wave of disappointment washed over me, May as well call the fucker Hajime No Takamura! :(
