This anime is pretty good, I'll recommend this to other people out there who are on a "Good Anime hunting spree". Episode 10 was pretty dull for me, but it's still good nevertheless.
This anime is amazing. There are a good number of subtle nuances going on in this episode. Most strikingly is Yukino "relying" on Hachiman, but there's also the post-honey bread conversation between Yui and Hachiman.
Hikki is such a great main character. His cynical view on everything never gets old. This was another good episode. Yui and Yukino totally had yuri sex after Hikki left.
I really like Hachiman, even in the end he says things straight with no buttercoating. That Leader chick was a stuck up chick and deserved to be called out like that.
The one favour that Yukino owes to her sister now, I think she'll cash it in to make Yukino have sex kiss Hachiman in the last episode or something like that.
Hachiman's real talk is too strong. Also nice to see Yukino following through on her promise of relying on Yui. I do wonder what Yukino's future plans are. She mentioned she wanted to be like her sister. Does that mean she has decided to do something different then?
Hikki once again proving how much of a badass he is with his blunt words/harsh truths, showing how he's willing to play the bad guy and get hated just to help Yukino. One of the best anime anti-heroes.
There was one part that had a big impact on me, the part where his teacher tells him, "You should realize that there are people whose hearts break each time they see you hurt yourself." She probably meant herself, but I wonder if she was referring to Yukino or Yui too? And that last part, was Hikki about to confess to Yukino?
This episode would have been a good finale, and it probably was meant to be, but looks like we get a bonus side story next week. No complaints from me though, I stand by my decision, this one wins best of season imo.
Hikki playing the bad guy again. Only one more episode to go. I really hope theirs going to be a second season and that song at the end was pretty good to
Hikki's blunt words to the committee chairmen were great. I really like the song that Yui and Yukino sung together. Here's a TV rip of it. Can't wait for the full version.
Leave it to 8man to tell someone exactly what they need to hear and in the way they need to hear it...even if does leave him looking like a douche to others.
Also, this:
Also like niell said, this would've made a good last ep but I guess one more can't hurt.
And that last part, was Hikki about to confess to Yukino?
Spoiler:
Nope. As Yukino's follow-up notes, he was just about to ask if they could be friends. If you think about it, it's actually a really huge change for Hachiman to even ask that.
I'm really happy with how Hachiman is characterized. Especially compared to how quickly Amagami's Tsukasa's domineering attitude towards those useless girls turned into friendship.
Edit:
Episode 13:
Spoiler:
That ended as expected, with Hachiman "winning" but getting disqualified for using dirty tactics. It also highlights how Hachiman's life is quite a bit different from before. People actually notice him now.
Almost man, almost. His plan almost worked but I suspect that female teacher was the one who was watching him.
I was actually thinking that this episode was a bit strange to end the anime on, But apparently this is actually a TV exclusive work for the series. But that's good news as, upon reading up on the series, the games coming out will be paired with Bonus Ova's so that'll be good since, a second season would take years to make. 7 Volumes written and this took us up to Volume 6.
Nice bonus episode. Obviously knew they were gonna get DQ'd for cheating. Zaimokuza is one hell of a funny dude, and he makes a cute couple with Ebina.
Again, best of season, severely underrated, 10/10 for me.
Excellent anime overall. At least there's still the game and OVAs to look forward to. It doesn't look like there's enough LN content to make a second season.
