Synopsis
The story is set in the distant mountain village of Okukozome-chou. Haruka Kazugano and his twin sister Sora have fond childhood memories of going to the village to visit their grandfather during their summer vacations. However, after losing their parents in an accident, the two must move in with their grandfather.
The twins get reacquainted with their old childhood friend Nao Yorihime, their new classmate Ryouhei Nakazato, the shrine maiden Akira Amatsume, and Akira's friend Kazuha Migawa. All seems peaceful and familiar. However, beneath the surface is a secret promise that the twins made with each other long ago, the whereabouts of an important lost item, and the real reason they chose to come back here.
So, it's now aired, and it was WAY WAY WAY beyond my expectation.
This was more complex and mature than I expected.
Now I really have to play the VN, I need to know all the details.
so, Anybody watching, and What's your expectation, reaction and etc?
and good thing that UTW and Ryuumaru is doing this.
-----------
BTW, I literally spitted out my drink that was half swallowed when I looked at certain scenes....unexpected indeed, and unexpectedly High Quality too, added by the already High Quality animation....
I am quite certain Yosuga no Sora is going to have a bit of fanservice involved, albeit in a more serious manner.
In addition, for those of you who have watched "Myself; Yourself" which aired a while back, the main protagonists of Yosuga no Sora reminds me of the twins from the former title. Hopefully, someone knows what I am talking about.

I do. Although that was somewhat slightly incestuous in my opinion, but sweet. And slightly similar gray-hair helps.
Just watched the first episode... I guess I'll be sticking with this one. Although I looked for some semblance of being the regular sweet lovey-dovey anime like Lamune, it was a bit serious. Maybe I was looking at the wrong direction, but it definitely made me notice.
I look forward to the second episode. Although Haruka could use a bit more manliness.
OMG thank you for making a thread for this, I was disappointed when I saw episode one and then noticed there was no thread for me to talk about it.
From the beginning I knew this was a originally a Visual Novel, though I hadn't played it, and now will prob have to. I love the animation style and its seems all the characters will be to my liking.

Yes! Though the sister especially reminded me of Hinako (the loli) from the series. Most of the characters seem similar in other ways as well.
I thought the amount of service was nice, it wasn't shoved around all over the place, but done in a tasteful manner, with the exception of the ED.
Oh and I must say this right now, because it seems quite easy to come to this conclusion about the sister.....
Spoiler:
obvious yandere is obvious
My views on the ED and OP
OP: Ah~ eufonius, how I love thee nuff said.
ED: Wow, so silly, very cute and upbeat and so full of service.
I could prob say more, but I just woke up, saw this thread and had to post my thoughts ^_^;
i just downloaded the 1st episode but haven't watched it yet.
i've seen some reviews of this series but after i read kaimax's reaction, defenetely gotta watch this.
The first episode was pretty damn awesome. Really enjoying the quality of service they're giving with this. I have only played a little bit of the game in English, but I liked what I played. I'm definitely looking forwards to more of this anime, as long as they do the sister route. The main route though is the sister and the whole selling point of the VN was blood related incest, so I don't really see why they wouldn't go that route with this anime.
The first episode was great albeit I prefer it over the manga since the manga doesn't have too many chapters in it and that the anime has an ecchi factor to it. In my head I said, "YAY!" when it showed the ecchi scene with Nao in the bathtub and at the end with the girl lying on the bed pleasuring herself. I Can't wait for the next episode! ^_^
It is pretty awesome. The fanservice makes it look like a hentai. Well as for the myself;yourself allusion. I don't quite agree. The twins were more of a goofy pair and weren't as handsome as these ones :).
I'm still waiting for the TL project of the visual novel to be ready. Since I've been waiting ages to play it.
Really good. Was really thrown off by how mature it actually was....was expecting something more like Da Capo....but dang. Fan service is a plus....Curious how this will all unfold.
Well, I was definitely blown away by the first episode. It was definitely better than expected. The music was top-notch, and the environments were very engrossing.
Spoiler:
Character wise, Haru is a very likable male lead, (and very cute, which is why I perfectly understood why all of the other girls were getting all hot and bothered for him). Sora is a very interesting girl, and I'm probably liking her the most so far. She's very cute when she blushes, and her affinity for snacks and her stuffed rabbit makes her extra cute. I really liked seeing the flashbacks of Haru and her, and even though she is weak from her sickness, I do see quite a bit of strength in her. She's strong because of not only being able to fight against her illness, but also because of her coping skills for what happened to their parents, Sora's strength also showcased at the end, when she demanded that Haru make her cum. She's a woman who knows what she wants, and she won't take no for an answer, which I find very sexy.
As for the other girls, I would say that my second favorite so far is Akira. She seems tough and a little ditzy, and I hope to see more of her Kazuha together. Kozue seemed cute as well, and it was interesting to find a president who was so shy. I'm not sure what I think of Nao yet, but she seems alright.
Also, Nogisaka, the maid?! She's awesome. I hope we get a little segment of her every episode. :)
I'm very pleased with this series so far, and I can't wait for next week.
Urgh...I did get Yandere vibes off the sister from the ending.. I mean it was awesome but then the lightning flashed and gave her a creepy blood face. I don't like Yandere's >_>
I can like them to an extent, School Days is what puts me off it. JUST GIVE ME MY INCEST, YANDERE IS NOT NEEDED.
I want to play the visual novel now, but its not translated yet. there a fan translation going on, but it was canned because they received a cease and desist from the company saying they were working on it or something (Cuffs). Hopefully ill get to play it someday...
also, the very last scene is so freakin hot. I love maids:
Spoiler:
Especially those who masturbate on their bed just before the end of an episode
There's no Yandere, there will be competition though, but no yandere.
I'm actually kind of relieved to hear that. After watching the first episode, I was reminded of a couple other series where people went batshit insane and started killing people. And I don't particularly want that to happen to this series.

don't worry there's not even blood in the original VN.
