Animes that make you happy but give you depression...

To complete my title, Animes that make you happy but give you depression in the end.
Mostly these reactions come from romance animes when something so good happens but the series ends. Am i right?

So for me, id have to say Suzuka and Toradora. Dunno why, but i fell in love with those 2 animes especially suzuka. I was so happy and depressed at the same time, took me a week to get over it.

Well enough of my side, what about you guys?

Fullmetal Alchemist. It probably doesn't make sense, but the thing is, FMA is series I've been watching for a while. I've been keeping track of it while the anime was still fresh. To know that the manga was going to be faithfully followed gave me a chance to finally know what really happens. One exhilarating year later, it was all over. I was satisfied with the ending, true. But then it dawned on me. An amazing series, one that had been pretty much consistently good, had just ended. And I had just seen it through fully. As fulfilled as I felt, I realized a series like FMA comes along once in a rare while. Also, I had so much fun watching it, I ultimately didn't want it to end. That put me in a sort of "dejected thinking" state.

Needless to say, it was an amazing ride. One I'm never gonna forget.

I felt that way when i finished Spice and Wolf.
Im happy about how the season ended but i want more so....hopefully the 3rd season comes out sooooon.

At the top of my head, two anime that made me feel as such were Spice and Wolf and FMP!

School Days... Makes me happy to see a bro gettin' some and eventually gettin' fucked up 'cause he was bein' too much of a playa for his own good.

Makes me depressed because I want a friend like Sekai too!! (Id trade in all my bullshit 'friends' for her, You'd better believe that... Ooooooh boy) xD

I think Fruits Basket and Honey & Clover fits this description perfectly. Both series made me happy and I had man tears when they both ended.

I"s Pure and Ichigo 100% kinda give me the same feeling, both are kind of funny and -because I remember about how my love life is when I watched those two- a bit depressing at the same time.

Try to place yourself at the male protagonist's role and you'll know what I mean

I felt that way while watching school days and madoka. Both were depressing and made me feel good in the end.

... Usagi Drop, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Angel Beats!... I can't remember them all.

I never finished this anime, I watch it from the local tv from time to time in the past,
I didn't know it was depressing at some point..

lol must be for him tho, since everyone is different in some way.

Death Note. The whole psychological war between Light and L was awesome. Then my heart sank when L died. And it sank even lower when these two kids replaced him. Near, some kid trying to be L. Mello, so obviously a filler character.

I haven't seen Death Note in a while. Its been a few years or so maybe 5 or 3 years? Since iv'e last seen death note. But if i'm not mistaken it's about something like killing through writing peoples name on a notebook right?

Severe depression when it ended.

I was reading the manga first, with voice actors and animation I start getting depressed.

Gundam series. People kept dying which was sad, yet in the end it was all awesome.

CLANNAD, It makes me happy, sad, angry, every emotion is felt in that one Anime

Higarashi Kai, it makes you think what will happen and how will it all turn out then when you see the ending your happy but when you think about it you can never enjoy it the same way again you know the whole plot and end, It makes me sad thinking about it
