Anyone else here like CUTE anime series??

I know I always get suckered into the cuteness of the characters and storylines of some of the anime series that have been produced. A lot of times these sort of series will have a "nothing: story line...but I still watch the whole thing, I just can't help myself. The characters and, a lot of times the storylines, are just so KAWAII. Series like Bincho-tan , Bottle Fairy and Little Snow Fairy Sugar come to mind as pure cutness.

I suppose even Figure 17, Card Captor Sakura, Angelic Layer and Rozen Maiden, as well as some of Romantic Series like To Heart, would even fit into a "Cute Anime" thing. Although these last few titles mentioned do have a lot more substance in the storylines.

There was another cute anime about a guy who's dead pets came back through his mobile phone as really cute girls, until at the end there are like 12 girls living in his tiny apartment with him....I think it was called Angel Tail, anyone else remember it? Gambler, you're a man who seems to like animes series with cuties in it, maybe you've seen this one too.

So, does anyone else here like the really cute anime series that have been produced?

well i like it...!!!
especially if there's many cute girl (with cute drawing style) in the anime itself
like ex: lucky star, H2O foot prints on the sand, etc (they all have a cute animation style)

I enjoy my fair share of cutesy anime.

Potemayo is one such series, same with Azumanga Daioh (aside it also being a slice-of-life anime)

Yeah I enjoy them as much as I like just about every other type of anime. I'm currently watching Shugo Chara.

but really azumanga daioh is on my top list for this

and even i found that akira is cute (when she's not her psycho self) and the scene of lucky chanel at pisode 22 (or 23 i forgot) when shiraishi got back from the mountain bringing akira's water, she drink it and spit it out and they fight (yes fight) i laugh hard at that secene

I don't mind cute, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to forgive cliched, boring plots just because it's cute.

I love Lucky Star, Card Captor, Minami (cute?), Azumanga, Rozen Maiden, Aria, Angelic Layer etc...
BUT I also detest To Heart, Strike Witches, the new Strike-witch clone with mages (what was it called again?) ect..

Gotta Love them cute series, a lot of ppl IRL don't think I am the type of guy who'd like the cute anime, but I do.

I like cute anime , who wouldn't? I think cute things are pleasent to look at and you can't help but melt inside from their cuteness ! Just look at kittens !! KAWAII!!

I like cute stuff, now I'm hooked on Skip Beat & Earl & Fairy (Hakushaku to Yousei). Also following Nodame Cantabile & Saiunkoku Monogatari. The majority I watch are probably shoujo. I'm a sucker for cute faces, so as long as there is some cuteness, I can watch most things. My idea of cuteness though can encompass lots...

For me it depends entirely on the context. Cuteness for cuteness's sake is usually pretty boring. Sister Princess: Repure comes to mind. Everything in that series was so sickeningly sweet and the pacing was sooooo sloooow... If there's humor to go along with it, though, or the plot is at least a little interesting, I don't mind cuteness at all. Someone already mentioned Bottle Fairy and I think that's a good example. Ichigo Mashimaro fits, as well. The story and characters have to be engaging or it's just a waste of time.

Then again, I have the same standard for ecchi content. If it's gratuitous with nothing behind it, then it's a waste. You can acknowledge that it's ecchi and even attractive, but the lack of a reason for it or an overabundance of it can be a disinterest.
