[April 2012] Medaka Box (TV anime)

What makes you think so? Just curious btw.

That, I don't like main character-san and I really don't like Medaka. She's like if you took Haruhi Suzumiya made her a lot less endearing and gave her really big tits, I just couldn't care less about the characters or what they were doing. Yes this was just he first episode, but the first episode should get me pumped and interested for the next episode, in this area the show most certainly failed. I'm not gonna drop it though, because I really want to like it, but it just hasn't shown me that it deserves to be liked... yet.

That sort of makes sense.

I like Zenkichi way more than Medaka, Medaka has a horrible character, she's too perfect maybe. And it's still a long way to go until the point where I start to like her.

I'm assuming you read the manga then? Is it any good, I wanted to read it just because of Nisioisin, but this has really put me off.

I prefer the manga, but that's cause I've been following it since it started... Medaka also seems to come off with less of a superiority complex in the manga compared to the anime so far IMO...

I feel disinclined to continue watching Medaka Box. This is probably because I'm so far ahead in the manga, and because the manga just reached a critical turning point, and I feel that it's gonna be hard for me to watch all the stuff leading to before what just happened in the manga:

Yep, with the Nisio Isin Genre.
At first you might not like it but it gets better by the time.

It's a first episode, impressions are made but we've yet to see how things go as the series progresses.

I'm still quite pissed at the decision to make Medaka played by Toyosaki Aki, they couldn't have picked someone worse

So, who did you have in mind?

She did Medaka pretty well, without inserting Yui in it. And This is her voice that I always imagined when I was reading the manga.

I always imagined Hikasa Yoko would fit her better since I watched Seitokai Yakuindomo. I dunno I'll probably get used to it in about 2 episodes.

I think Hikasa Yoko is a bit too soft maybe for Medaka..IMO lol

If Yoko is soft, Aki must be a plush toy then

But honestly Kai, I think whoever the Voice Actress is, she is doing a fine job, even though I was expecting more kind of like.... Hell I can't put it in words!

Soooo, episode 2... yeah I still don't like Medaka, whatshisface is okay but not a very memorable character.

Never liked Medaka, and the anime doesn't change anything either.

12 episodes..not enough. IT will probably end before/middle/After the Flask plan.

Well.... seeing as how most shonens turn into year long stuff I was hoping that Medaka Box would get the same treatment. Ah well too bad for me :(

I'm interested to see how this goes...
