We are introduced to Kanbaru Suruga, the star of the basketball team with her left arm wrapped up. She seems to stalk Araragi because she likes him, but that is not the case. She admires/loves Hitagi and is simply stalking Araragi to find a moment when she can beat the crap out of him, which she does. Good thing he has the ability to heal quickly ...

I was amazed Senjougohara didn't say something to make him feel even worse then gettin the crap beaten out of him by a girl. I expected she would say something.. maybe next ep :D

This is by my opinion one of the best episodes so far (even if only the ending was exciting enough to say that).
Araragi's beat down was pretty intense and exciting but the one thought that kept coming to mind was "Who would win if Araragi was still a vampire ?"

If he was still a vampire he would probably kick everyones ass. I think at is the reason why he wanted to not be a vampire.

This episode is hope in my eyes. I'm surprised how mellow she was after finding her 'lovers' broken body in the train tracks. Maybe she knew about it all along? That the basketball ace was going to attack him. She did say that anyone who kills him she'll kill... and it seems like someone is trying to do just that xD
Also I wonder whats wrong with the basketball ace? She has superhuman strength otherwise she wouldn't have been able to punch him that far. Her body was also all red which could have been an animation decesion or something happened to her body which gives her the superhuman strength I mentioned. So I'm assuming she has some spirit or god with her.
Well on episode 1 we get a glimpse of him possesing the strength to cut off someones arm with a punch so some way or another we are going to see him with his vampire powers (I assume that was his vampire powers)
I think its to early to say that. He says shes been stalking him for days. We the viewers don't know whether or not shes been stalking him SINCE he met the girl or if she had been stalking him before that. Hell she might have even been trying to protect him. I mean she herself was attacked by her so I would assume she wouldn't think someone like the guy would get away alive. I notice how stupid this sounds I mean the initial reason she was stalking him was to protect him and then she become overwhelmed with rage upon hearing hes seeing the girl and attacks him.
Also she might have really just had a crush on him. The girl she adores has a crush on him what stops her from having a crush on him to? Then she finds out that he doesn't have feelings for her and goes beserk. Less of a "Stay away from my women" and more "If you don't love me just die"
Also! Why is she wearing a cloak? Do you think she might know about his immortality and knew she wouldn't be able to kill him? Otherwise I see no reason as to why she'd be worried about hiding her identity since from the power we saw she could easily kill anyone who got in her way.

I so wish that piece will be told. Assuming they follow the outline in episode one, we will be seeing his story as the last arc of the anime. Koyomi versus the one that is now called Oshino Shinobu(my guess).

hmm, a bit far-fetched i think. I'm for the yuri-fangirl who hates the guy that took away her sempai(why would she leave when senjougahara arrived?).
The cloak is probably to hide her transformation(suruga monkey?). And there's no way she knew about the remnant of his vampiric powers. He hardly talked to her and it's only been a few days since she stalked him, as far as I remember.

Just a calculated guess. I have yet to acquire the novels( can't seem to find it easily, or maybe I haven't searched hard enough -_-) and the necessary japanese skills to understand everything.

I notice that we have returned to that amazing stapler OP.
I was very happy with this episode, especially since the threatening side of Senjougahara made an appearance. Hanekawa looks much better with dark hair, in my opinion. Definetely wasn't expecting Araragi to get pummeled so severely. :/

Nothing much to comment, this anime says basically "Shut up, don't expect anything and watch. Oh, and don't forget to clap at the end, this was a great piece."
