Plot Summary: On the planet Earthdash, its inhabitants gaze on its moon and the technologically advanced lunar city of Mooneyes with awe. Dan JD, a boy living in Rollingtown on Earthdash’s surface, gets caught up in Bigfoot Basketball — a fast-paced sport played with giant Bigfoot robots.
trailers:
It has a pretty much decent plot that's worth enough for enjoyment purposes alone, but seriously though it was very humorous (the first episode I mean). The visual graphics are very neat and trendy, I simply love it. Not to forget about the characters; they're all so colorful and so full of life, it was a "fabulous" sight (at least imo). Its earliest preview (PV) already caught my attention a long time ago and now that I've finally seen the first episode, I'm more than convinced that it's the real deal. :D
I haven't really been fond of mechs/robots whatsoever but this - this is totally different, which is why it hasn't thrown me off as I would usually not bother with anything that has giant mechs in it. (I've only seen quite a few)
Btw, the cast of seiyuus are no pushovers either; led by probably the "loudest" male seiyuu ever: Hiro Shimono as Dan JD.
I'm not just about to forget its music; another aspect that's worth looking forward to. (Pony Canyon)
Just to add that the series is being produced by Satelight studio; whose responsible for bringing us Macross Zero/Frontier, Noein, Hellsing OVA, etc.
"nO limiT" by Eclipse (Haruka Tomatsu, Saori Hayami, Nakajima Megumi) [OP]
"free" by Yu Yamada (ED)
I was originally planning to create just an episode discussion thread for this but since I really loved the first screening, I decided to start with this. It's really fun and enjoyable, it's certainly a must see. (or is it just me who's versatile enough when it comes to anime viewing) - I certainly wouldn't mind enjoying this all by myself. :D
Just watched the first episode, and all i can say is it catches my eye but reminds me of air gear in terms of the sports aspect, but ill defiantly keep an eye on this one and see where exactly the story is taken.
A really fun anime. The first episode really surprised me and I was very pleased with it. It has big boobs, good comedy, big boobs, mechs, big boobs, basketball, and oh yea....big boobs. :D
I was actually hesitating about watching this show, I'm not quite like the idea of mecha combined with basketball. But decided to watch it anyway and I was in for a surprise, it was actually a pretty good show. The animation was really beautiful from the way the character interacts and how the world is presented. Pretty much its on my watch list now.
Here's some additional info, seems this anime have shoes designed by Nike. Also Guin Saga is also animated by studio Satelight which also have aired this spring.
Not really a fan of this new age animation that this and afew other animes seem to be embracing but the story looks interesting and so do the characters. Will be watching this when the anime finishes airing.
the middle one the meganekko girl is missing her hat nano desu, other than that the amount of subliminal lolis in this series is well to my liking, I still love Coco, but with new lolis abound, who knows, this series is making me very happy nano desu
I'm actually following this anime, seems rather interesting, I like the style they used on all three main characters, mainly Iceman Hottie. Lets see what happens next. =P

ep.9 - What a way to promote another NEW single...! It was just last Wednesday (May 27) when the OP theme of the series (nO limiT) was released. Now, in about two weeks plus a couple of days (June 17), the insert song that was featured in this episode entitled "Running On" will follow. I must admit, PONY CANYON sure knows how to market and make full use of their resources. It may be a bit annoying, but that's how the money-making-industry works, no doubt.
Anyway, I still am following the series and loving every second of it, particularly this episode where the "trio" - who might have inspired the singles, called ECLIPSE, finally got introduced. I was quite surprised that Citron was the group leader... as a "Basquash" team however, it was Rouge who's the captain... but all in all, those facts aren't really of much significance. (I just didn't expect the smallest and cutest one of them all to be the leader of the group)
This has probably got to be my favorite episode of the series thus far. It was fun just as always but most importantly, they managed to incorporate some other factors outside of the main theme without compromising the plot, further more developing the characters and the story even.
The only thing that saddens me is the next episode preview implying that ECLIPSE might be leaving/heading back to the moon by then... Rouge, most specially, parting ways with Dan, with only but a handkerchief to remember her by. That's only what I can make out of the preview; nothing definite, just most likely. And I haven't exactly mentioned it right? Rouge is my favorite out of the three.
Spoiler:
This dream of Dan is what I don't get? Whom could she be holding/facing to and at the same time, whose hand/arm it is; who's behind her?! (well, dreams are meant to be vague anyway) - it's only Dan whom I could think of either way.
The series' OP/ED themes plus the insert single "Running on" can be downloaded HERE!
I've missed posting on some of my favorite shows of the spring for several weeks now. I don't care about double-posting anymore and to delete-edit my posts is quite tiring so I'll just get down to it each time. (I'm all ready to bring my "hermitish" ways to an all time high!)
Compared to the couple of previous ones, episode 11 was a really good episode. Details, details, blah, blah, blah. You'll get what I mean if you're watching it.
Moving on to the recent week's episode(12), yes, I'd say it's even better than the earlier. The "insert commercials" were hilarious in a way. I like the fact that they didn't waste too much time introducing/featuring the very random and insignificant "trickery/magician" team. Eclipse's buildup is also going smoothly, most particularly Rouge. Together with Dan, they make an awesome pair so I've got no problems with it, definitely.
So I guess that's all for now. Maybe I'll add more later, or maybe not. (We'll see)
So far ive been loving this series and everything about the series. Moreover I love the romantic developments between idol red and Dunk Mask.( I think i got that right) Whats really worrying me right now is the recent development that has happened in episode 13 with idol red becoming sick or robot like. ( i get a bad feeling that shes being turned into a robot or something) Hopefully Idol red stays alive and doesn't die off or something to that effect. What i am hoping for is Dunk Mask to rescue her in some form or fashion later on the series otherwise it will be sorely disappointing.
Edit:
I just finished watching the episode and all i can say after seeing it is that there are no robot's so ignore the robot thingy and also Im happy that Dunk Mask now has a new personal reason to make it to the moon. But on top of that I still hope that they don't pick off idol red due to sickness or something like that!
Awesome episode is awesome! A little bit dramatic but awesome nonetheless. Where else would you ever see someone play a symphony using just a basketball and the surroundings as his instrument?! FUCKIN AWESOME. Having said it 4 times now seriously still ain't enough to prove how "AWESOME" it really is!
I†˜ve seen it coming (a few episodes ago that I even prematurely posted about it), where Rouge (Dan finally gets to say her name right in the end) has to leave all so suddenly without much of a goodbye, but definitely not in such a manner. Damn, just what have they done to Eclipse. I mean, I never really expected this kind of twist that they were practically experimented upon (even if willingly) only to be used for someone else's stupid “legend-building plans” or whatever; Fuck that bubbles-blowing bastard! I just hated for it to happen this way. I’ve never prepared myself for this that it "almost" made me cry... almost, but not quite. "Dan and Rouge" really have formed a great chemistry within the very short time they’ve been together (for like the last 5 eps, I think). On the other hand, it’s not so surprising to see Miyuki starting to get a little jealous but it just felt awkward to show it this late esp when "the two" have already quite gotten so close to each other and the fact that Rouge pretty much had left. Of course, not like it’s going to be her last appearance anyway... I sure do hope so. Sorry Miyuki (I’m no racist), but the fact remains (or imo at least) that Dan and Rouge are much fit for one another.
The few added choreography in the opening was also fuckin awesome! Yes, a huge part of why I consider this episode sooo awesome is because of that. The song, "Running on" was also used to close out this episode, instead of the usual (“free”) to give some sort of tribute to Rouge. It was definitely cool to see Dan go all out like that for her but also depressing at the same time. At least, it’s somehow reassuring to hear their thoughts of meeting once again, and just like the episode title itself suggests, “See you on the Moon”.
Team Spanky? Sounds good to me. It was hilarious how he, Spanky himself had come up with that name and got all worked up for not getting the approval for it. He was intoxicating himself for like the entire episode. I’m not so sure what exactly has he been drinking but it was simply hilarious to see him act like that; most esp when he was shown in the toilet, vomiting more or less.
Finally caught up to the latest episode. Hermit already sums up everything that I wanted to say. The last part on episode 13 was awesome. New OP and ED for episode 14.

Boku ga Boku no Mama (僕ãŒåƒ•ã®ã¾ã¾)
Futari no Yakusoku (二人ã®ç´„æŸ)
The new opening and ending for the series looks sick also it gives away a few subtle hints. I get the feeling that rogue will do something like run away or try to reconnect with dan over the course of the next few episodes. Well Anyways thats what I think will most likely happen. If that doesnt happen I know for a fact that there going to pull one of these two-
1. dan goes all out achieving his legend status whatever it may be and save's rogue in the process and defeats all who stay in his way
2. something happens to rogue and in out cry of furry or something of the sort we see dan gain this amazing legendary status.
Personally Im hoping that the authors do something with rogue trying to reconnect with dan and dan gain his legend status after he saves her.
By the way I would totaly agree with whats been said above about Episode 13 so far that is my favorite episode in the entire series.
