I suggestion I have would be Star Driver for the Mecha section. Honestly my favorite mech anime I've ever watched beside Code Geass and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

I didn't see kotoura-san on there. I thought this was a very refreshing series as I had been watching nothing but mediocre anime, this one is fairly new and definitely worth the watch.

And I have to disagree with your recommendation. It had a good concept but they blew it. After episode 2 it turns into a cliche high school comedy/romance, that isn't even funny.

I've already read the manga, and at this point I wouldn't really call it predictable. But you're entitled to your opinion
