[General] Best Anime Ending EVAR!!

Yes I agree with you. Cowboy Bebop is one of the best anime I've ever watch. A classic with an ending to fit. Gurren Lagan was great too. GAR at its best.

There seem to be voice at the back of my head telling me there should be a number of anime with great endings I should mention, but funny I can't recall any titles.... -.-

I personally liked the ending of Guilty Crown, despite being so sad. I'll agree it wasn't the best way to end it, but it could've been worse.
Soundtrack was godlike. I nabbed it as soon as it was released.

Code geass R2, fooly cooly, oban star racer, digimon tamers, dragonball Z, cowboy bebop, deathnote good to see the woman using L killing coward get what he deserves. He had a good reason but he got to cocky and evil. although technically it isn't a series ending but, the ending to the naruto series before shippuden. final valley battle was epic and had best art work of the series in the manga. Would Shinzo be considered an anime? If so it would be one. Lol I got a lot of favorite endings.

Yes Gurren Lagann ending ha pinch my heart... Simon sad smile hurts the most... It was soooo goooooood but saaaaaad.... thought the movies were crap for me (and not for other who dont) cuz it was the same and still didn't even made it movie original happy ending...

There is like a paradox here. We will think which is the best anime ending ever. But actually, there is no best anime ending. Don't we all have an anime series we really loved, and pretty much didn't want it to end. But it will eventually take it's course and end anyways. So that would make you sad and depressed, cause of the end of the anime you truly loved. Making it the worst anime ending. So more likely, the best anime ending would be the worst anime ending. And the worst anime ending would be the best anime ending. CAUSE NO ONE WANT'S TO SEE THEIR FAVORITE ANIME SHOW BE CANCELED.

I have to disagree, "A good story is like a good bowel movement: it's only really satisfying once it's ended" -Yahtzee. While the experience of a great anime is all well and good, it's the ending that really leaves an impression on us, but if an anime just keeps going it feels like it's padding and is overstaying it's welcome, all good things must come to an end.

Yea, good anime, for better or for worse, will end. In addition, they end early (say 10, 20 episodes perhaps?). THEY DON'T PROLONG THE SHIT OUTTA YA I SAY!
I mean, hell, take a look at those anime that's running for years (I'm not pointing fingers or listing names man). Those titles just bore the hell out of you. It's even worse, if they started out great (you know, grabs at your attention and such), but as they prolong shit starts coming out and you leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

The best for me is Steins Gate's ending, so fucking perfect plus the OVA...

For me, Evangelion had the best ending (or at least the most memorable).

The ending that had the most impact on me are NHK and Angel Beats. Steins;gate was good too but it left me hanging.

AnoHana and Baccano are worth mentioning as well.

I agree with all the Code Geass mentions. Man, how great was this anime back in the day.

Fate/Stay Night had me all in tears.

I personally rather have an cliff hanger ending, like in elfen lied or higurashi, that never left the character to 'die' when the series ended. When 'good' animes end, i feel a part of me enjoying the outcome of the story and a part of me dies as well. This is due to the anime ending the way it did and how I may never view them again.
