Loved the first half of the anime and I haven't read the manga. My fave character is Jenos Hazard No. VII. Cause I like dem razor strings, He fricken chopped up the castle floor with one pull.

I watched the anime first and liked it, then read the manga and found it even better. But I was puzzled, and still am. Why the all stuff with different storylines, and even removing and adding random characters? Isn't it just more work, writing the extra plot?
