That's episode 206 that'll do that; episode 205 is the end of a pointless two-part filler arc. I'm glad the show doesn't trudge along at Naruto's sub-glacial pace but I'm not sure how far they'll get into this arc before hitting a wave of filler given that the Turn Back the Pendulum arc isn't even finished in the manga.

Part of me feels like just reading the manga to advance in the story, but the larger part of me is too lazy for that.
As a comment on the episode, it was kindof odd that they played a game that was only slightly similar to football, rather than just playing football, considering it was all the small annoying one talked about.
I assumed it was just some cultural thing I didn't get.
But I'll be glad to be back to the real story...for however long it lasts.

well, they should stop those filler arcs.
and for the main story, they just should find some almost_impossible_but_succesful tactics to slay aizen and end this show already. I don't say I hate it or so, but... if it gets to the same level as Narutard Shitpooden, I would be very disappointed.

well if u read the manga u get the story without the filler + its farther ahead of the anime
oh i havent see Naruto for idk how long so i cant really comment on that

Naturally the manga is ahead of the anime. The anime can't really get ahead of its source material and still be the real story.
Bleach is going to catch up to the manga real soon though so it's really just a matter of whether you want to read or watch the story.
