Ahh... the classic plot device... You will gain a move that can rip the damn universe in half, but in exchange you'll lose all your powers... I can see why it's Final Getsuga Tensho now, but man, what a disappointment... in order to kill Aizen he's going to give up his powers... if Aizen STILL isn't dead after taking a faceful of... Mugetsu, I'm really gonna be pissed at Kubo...

I mean its not even the same story line as it was when this arc started now its just new outfits and power ups gives me a sad face.

But I swear, if this doesn't kill Aizen, and Ichigo loses all his powers and then Aizen "almost" kills Ichigo, after which he regains his powers again to kill Aizen once and for all, I'll fucking dropkick Kubo. Aizen better fucking die.

There was so much hype over it and if it fails, it's going to be BULLSHIT.

Speaking of which, I wonder what made Ichigo's dad use this technique? And I find it strange that Aizen didn't know about it since it has happened before.

Well, considering that Isshin wasn't around(or at least shown) a hundred years ago back during the turn back the pendulum arc, it's possible that Isshin actually predates the shinigami that were there around that time....or he was part of the royal guard/vanguard or whatever they were called, they did say they disappeared and no one knew why or something didn't they?

This actually brings up more quesitons then it solves. which is a punk but i mean it is like a dbz counter-part cause of the power level cap ichigo is just walking on aizen.

I'm not entirely sure what I just read. "Become Getsuga"? What the fuck does that even mean?

Didn't see that one coming, actually. I was expecting some omgwtfbbq bullshit like the last one with Ulquiorra (I'm still fucking mad on Kubo for it) but this, although being a DBZ copypasta, isn't as stupid as those crazy power ups going on within this overloooooooooooong arc.

Also, did anyone else think the change in Ichigo's character design since his coming back with Final Getsuga (mainly different hair) was the result of him obtaining it and was disappointed to see that design in his inner world battle?

I'm not sure what to think other than "does this end the series?"



It has been established Orihime can restore spiritual pressure, though it takes longer than just healing wounds. But since Orihime is still in Mexico, my guess is Hougyoku.

Ichigo could keep his Hallow powers I'm not sure if Shinigami and Hallow power go hand in hand they probably do because Zangetsu and his inner Hallow fused.

Considering his inner hollow stated a few times that he and Zangetsu are one, as well as the two fusing together I'm going to just assume that if he loses his Shinigami powers he loses the Hollow as well. They could probably just strip away the Shinigami and leave him with Hollow but what exactly would that make him? Not Arrancar because he'd be only Hollow, Vasto Lorde because his Hollow was so freakishly strong? Probably not because it was part Shinigami, so only way I see Bleach really continuing with Ichigo around is the Hougyoku.

I damn hope the end for Aizen comes by the next two chapters or so. It'll be bad if all the hype for this battle turns out to be something "Just As Planned".

Interesting point - I was wondering why it's supposed to be "final" (implying the name). The highlight of this chapter IMO is that revelation - immensely powerful technique but at the cost of his own shinigami powers.

But with this chapter, I'm seeing that Kubo's slowly gearing up for a finale of sorts. If Ichigo uses that Final Getsuga, he's powerless after it, isn't so? Maybe similar to his dad.



Strange, ain't it? Aizen has brushed up on the history of the Shinigamis, he should have known of this technique's existence. Just fucking slipped his mind, I suppose.

He looks shit now, fucking retarded generic design, his super hollow form looks a million times cooler.

Also i was pretty pissed Kubo had hollow ichi cry but then I remembered he was basically merged with Zangy at the time. I mean hollow ichi is one cool badass and the thought of him crying pissed me off >_>

Anyway I can only guess this is how Isshin lost his shinigami powers then? Obviously they can be gained back.

Best ending would be if Inchigo uses his power to defeat Aizen, loses Shinigami self, becomes a Vasto Lorde, and gets killed by Orihime~ Oh, lulz would be had.
