Eh, most of the naruto shippuden movies nowadays are kinda generic. Though all naruto movies follow the Naruto meets movie character, gets annoyed at movie character, shit happens, naruto befriends movie character, ends the movie with a special Rasengan usually in collaboration with the movie character.
The one thing I like about this film is that Naruto actually does more ninja stuff other than shadow clones and rasengan. The Naruto series for a while was kinda forgetting they are suppose to be silent ninjas and not just high mobility battle mages with a headband and a name tag that says ninja.
This is anime/manga buddy ... and the rules for it goes..
anything happens in the world of fantasy.
Ah, but there are other ninja animes where people act more like ninjas than the ones in Naruto. Hell even Bleach does better ninja stuff better than naruto. I would actually like Bleach had it been written by someone other than Kubo.
I know Naruto does things completely opposite of the main idea, which is Ninja...
and I know Bleach stayed true to it's roots as a death reaper for Demons and Humans.
But hey, maybe someone can new Naruto movies that actually does Ninja stuff, but I highly doubt that.
Ninjas in Naruto would act more like ninjas if you take away all of their jutsus besides the most basic ones. I mean, who would ever have thought ninjas did stuff like shoot giant fireballs, impale people with lightning, summon Death, summon giant frogs, and other loud flashy attacks that defeat the purpose of being stealthy. I'd say Altair is the true ninja.
