My guess is that he needs CC for something that hasn't been explained yet. Afterall he was in the process of doing something with her, than got interrupted by Lelouch.
So I guess he wants to finish what he started.

I'm getting three ideas:

1: He's here to watch how Lelouch struggles to both free Japan and grasp the underlying mysteries associated with Geass without C.C.'s input.

2: He's here to judge the conflict between Lelouch and Schnizel and personally decide who is more worthy to be the next Emperor. When it's invariably Lelouch, he's gonna fuck with Lulu's head. Again.

3: He's not actually a villain, and is here simply to feed Nina to a woodchipper.

My bet is that he is going to Kaminegima island to do something with the thought elevator there.

K i can tell how much hate their is for Nina, we all just want her dead, right? Yet, i am not trying to defend her here, i am just gonna state something interesting here, did we all know that Nina's voice and Chiba's voice are done by the same seiyuu, Saeko Chiba? (let's not forget all the other great characters she did, ^_^ first thing that comes to mind...Dokuro-chan!) just thought i'd throw that out there k, anyways, YES NINA NEEDS TO DIE QUICK!!

Well i think here is that is a simple thing, simply this is a indirectly a provocation post by Charles, showing tht he can still sitting his big ass on his throne while leaving the war to schneizel to deal with him, and as well a challenge to him to kill him there if he can by defeating his army and fighting him next.

I meant the other ending, the one that made the least amount of sense, and had the most abruptness. Hideaki Anno does not know how to end an anime.

Well, I just hope it isn't some kind of "miraculous rosy life" ending where Nunnaly pops out of the blue sky having been rescued mysteriously and living together with Lelouch and Kallen in the fields of gold. That would seriously ruin the "serious" aspect of the anime.

If that were to be happen it would be more Sayako used ehr awesome ninja skills to save Nunaly.

That doesn't seem like a happy ending.

I was just thinking about it- Sunrise can screw all Code Geass fans by using the following ending:
Lelouch wakes up to find that everything is just a dream and he is still attending high school.

When the fans rage, Sunrise will have more excuse to milk the series and possibly come out with OVAs, if not another full-length season (although it has been mentioned that R2 will end it all).

They'd probably milk the same way Gainax is milking Eva, four theater movies, with an alternate ending.

That kinda reminds me of "X (1999)". Too many endings and it got really got annoying.

OMG... X... I don't know about the movie, but half the series was fucking flashbacks... Hardly any story progression and the ending was dissappointing...
