Digimon or Pokemon?

It's definitly Pokemon for me. I was a HUGE fan of the Anime as a kid, and now it's basically the only game series I follow regularly (I'm not much of a gamer really).
The world of Pokemon is more expansive, you have more veriaty with Pokemon instead of being stuck with one Digimon and it's Digivolutions. Pokemon's artwork is better and more varied in my opinion, and Pokemon's characters are for the most part much more likeable.
The only season of Digimon I really liked was Digimon Adventure 02 (except for Davis. He was fucking annoying). Because it made the Digital World so easily accessible, and it seemed more real. That's actually another reason why I like Pokemon better. The world of Pokemon and the world of Humans is one in the same, so it makes the Pokemon universe more immersive, seem more accessible, and seem more real. Instead of there being a clear divide between the Real World and the Digital World in Digimon.
As for the Pokemon Anime, the Indigo League, Orange Islands and Johto League Sagas were all good. No complaints there. The Hoenn League saga was ok, May was not a bad character per say (she was a bit too flip-flopy and girly in the bad way, and it took a REALLY LONG TIME for her to get strong. But Max on the other hand was just dead weight. And really annoying). The current one, the Sinnoh League saga however, is utter fail. Dawn is boring as hell and has no personality, and all the voice actors changed in the dub, and they sound HORRIBLE.
I will admit one thing I do like about Digimon more than Pokemon. The Japanese names and Japanese culture referances are kept more intact than in Pokemon (not completely, but definitly more so than in Pokemon. I mean, at least in Digimon, the characters have the same last names from the English version to the Japanese version) and I do definitly apreciate that.

the pokemon old anime is awesome but new i had no idea what going on and it boring now or maybe cuz i'm much older now. but i would def. watch digimon the movie over and over. the episode were great for season 1 and 2 but the third is ok.

Pokemon all the way! there is nothing that gives me a bigger...... remembrance? or my childhood! card game! Videogame and show.. all great (for their time) and the game still lives on!

Also i would like to add that in the Pokemon world your adventure could be endless. There will always be people to battle, you can catch as many pokemon you want, and there will be new pokemon awaiting to be discovered. In the digimon world you can only fight evil digimon, you usually only get one digimon, and there might be new digimon to be discovered but really what's the point if you cannot catch them. It is not like you NEED to know every digimon. In pokemon if you are a real trainer you NEED to know to fill-out your pokedex. Of course this is only when i think about the first or second season of each show which i am sure we have all, at the very least, have seen or only saw the first couple of episodes. So again i say, POKEMON!
