Yes, I think they do call her Rucy. Japanese doesn't have a L sound in their alphabet so sometimes I'll be watching anime and I hear the L sound and I trip out...seriously.

Well, even though the japanese alphabet doesn't contain the "L" i think in some cases they still use it, for example "L" from Death note?

I just watched an episode and I think they say Lucy with "L" at the beginning, but I'm not sure :?

I haven't watched the anime in a very long time. Not all Japanese people have problems saying their L's and R's so who knows if she was called Lucy or 'Rucy'.
