Does liking Kodomo no Jikan make me a lolicon?

It's a good anime if you look past it. But most people put it down after knowing it's a lolicon. IMO it has a good story, memorable characters, it's funny, and at parts very saddening. I do not watch it to get off though (on a side note I would love to see hentai featuring the female teachers though, but that's another story).

This should be moved to General Discussion section, but no it does not make you a lolicon, that would mean all men that watch Kuroshitsuji are gay

^ This. Kodomo no Jikan has character development as we watch the teacher try to help these kids with their unusual circumstances. It does have some lolicon undertones, but that's not the main point.

You're definately not a lolicon. In fact, I believe this comic/anime is actually one of the more deeper comics/anime out at the current moment.

Sure the characters ARE CHILDREN. But that doesn't and shouldn't indicate that you're a lolicon... The story is just your typical student/teacher relationship. Each character has their own personal issues. This is the beauty of it. For example, Mimi has daddy issues. She suffers from the typical "girl goes through puberty first" problem. Because of that her mother doesn't appreciate the fact that she constantly needs new clothing. This then causes mental stress on such a frail young mind... Why do you think she looks up to Reiji? Reiji suffered a similar situation although not the going through puberty part.

Another good prime example is our main character Aoki. Sure he may have seemed like a lolicon in the beginning but as time goes on he realises that these feelings of supposed "love" was that he wanted to assist in the nurturing and raising of the children just like a parent would and hopefully assist them in going upon the right path in life.

So NO. You are not a lolicon for liking Kodomo no Jikan. This comic/anime is serious business. In fact, if you get classified as a lolicon for reading/watching this, whoever accuses you of that is shallow. Make them read or sit through this. Preferably read as reading give more of the intricate details the anime misses.

edit : Oh, and what others sad. Read the manga, they slowly growing up, so after some time no one can/will call it a lolicon story.

At face value, it does make you look like a lolicon. It's about little girls in a very romantic and erotic setting. Now if you liked Lucky Star that's completely different because even if they look like lolis the show is revolved around comedy.

You should really read the manga, it's better than the anime and there's a lot more info and FYI the manga show rin as a little of a somewhat of a grown-up.
