From my opinion its better for Shizo-chan be the hero
he's handsome and very~ strong

In my opinion each character has it's story and roll to portray out the Durarara!! series. There is no so called "hero" you are looking for. Not like other animes like, bleach, naruto, and one peace(I HIGHLY DISLIKE). They claim a special protagonist. But In durarara. The whole series runs in different character's point of view, and problems which doesn't lead to only one person's issue. BASICALLY SAYING THEIR IS NO PROTAGONIST SINCE EACH PERSON HAS IT'S OWN STORY!

Like, who fits the hero in "durarara"
and
Who fits as a hero.

If it were "Who fits as a hero"
My choice would be
"Anri Sonohara"

Why? Well she's just those busty characters in anime which they must have.
