Ecchi is becoming boring?

Any of you guys gotten to the point where you've witnessed so many panty shots, cleavage shots, erotic fingerplay, erotic ....stick licking tongue....mouth action (if you guys still don't get it, imagine a girl erotically licking a banana, popsicles, microphones, SOME STICK OBJECT) where you just get bored of it or just lost sense of its purpose of being in the anime?

Yes, most romantic comedy animes uses these elements to do in some comedy, fanservice, or it just happened to flow due to the characters' clumsiness(I wonder why....)

Some excellent examples: Strike Witches, To-love ru, Girls Bravo, Inukami, Kissxsis, Koihime Musuo(when the three sisters held a concert and their fans had orange glowsticks), Asobi ni Iku yo!, and much more I can name.

There are rarely any cases where an ecchi scene gets a good hearty laugh from us. Despite being exposed too so much ecchiness, do you think it's necessary for the reason of being a comedy anime if you don't include H-anime?

Honestly no.

Same with my answer in the Vanilla/NTR is boring thread. That just means you watched too many "ecchi anime" recently. Since I watch many dozens of animes with different genres each season, I don't feel the boredom.

This season, even though I'm watching 6 series that has high ecchi content, but then I balance it with other animes that are not mainly about ecchi.

and Inb4 someone says "Old animes doesn't aim for ecchi, but STORY~~`" shit.. Older animes are even more ecchi than now. If you don't feel like watching ecchi genres, then just don't watch it. Don't blame the industry or the community. No one is forcing you to watch it.

It can be boring, yes, but that's why if I watch a series that has a large level of pervertedness in it, I watch only one episode a week. It's amusing in small packages.

I honestly never found Ecchi interesting, funny, or in anyway engaging.

If it's not used redundantly then i'm ok with it, Which rarely happens. Ecchi has become much of a trait for me to quickly lose interest in the anime.

The only ecchi show I like is Seitokai Yakuindomo, which does sex jokes but no panty shots or exposed breasts. They are find with blatantly showing all sorts of vibrating dildos and a fake ass.

I personally don't like ecchi because the time spent usually detracts from the plot. Its really hard to take something seriously when G sized breasts are bouncing everywhere. I mean look at this;

Yeah, since about a year and a half ago, Though there are a few shows that are pretty cool that I've watched/am watching.

I've actually quited watching some shows that, as if, shows about half of the entire episode showing disproportioned boobs and too much panty shots. It's like that's the show's only worth....

Nope, not me. I don't mind watching those and they never cease to entertain me, but I haven't watched 'too many times' yet due to people being around me; taking away my chances to watch them.

But I think you need to give it a break and watch 'em after a period of time, maybe you'll come to not find it boring then.

I personally don't think it's boring. Ecchi situations are just something creators like to use in their work; it's like saying comical situations or life threatening situations of a character within an anime are becoming boring, when they really aren't - it's just something the creators decide to include.

If you don't like watching ecchi anime you should probably stay away from it rather than ranting about it. It's as bad as when people make those NTR rant threads, or complain on the doujinshi/originals that it isn't vanilla.

I dont ever get bored with it, I just got desensitized to it because a lot of the animes I watch have it.

Some of the best animes had some boobs, pantsu and fan service.. not to mention some of the best sex scenes.

Isn't the problem with the ecchi.. more of the problem with the plot and substances of the anime. Lot of anime claim major credits by weebs. Clannad is a good show... just the story was horrible. K-on was a nice thing... yui and ritsu killed it with me. Air.. well air was just terrible, art sucked, story was meh.

It not the fan service.. it the anime. Btw either clannad, k-on or air were ecchi... i like providing hate sauce.

I'm not bored of ecchi, no matter how much of it I "consume". It's kind of like my personal equivalent of slice-of-life anime for Japan.

And to answer the question, I think the less anime reflects your life the less you connect with it. Or to put it bluntly, if you haven't been friendly and ecchi with a real girl in a really long time (or a boy) then your enjoyment of said anime decreases...

Well from what I remember when I was not so much younger than I am now (2 years ago before I first got laid, but used fakku) I started getting bored of ecchi, and turned to more h-type pieces with more umcensored stuff, and eventually even that became boring, because what I really wanted was a real girl to fill in the blanks that my mind alone couldn't imagine. I even had problems getting myself to fap :P

You'd be best to stop watching Ecchi anime for a while unless the plot feels enticing to you.

You've been accustomed to ecchi and it no longer is exciting. You've evolved to a stone that has no need for such trivial things. Take a break. Watch some other anime that aren't fan-service based. After a while, you'll be able to find it exciting. If not, you're just developing your tastes. Losing interest in a genre is perfectly fine.

Please do not group me with those who rant. I only wanted to learn some opinions from the regular F! Members that watches similar anime and genres. The way they present their work as an anime is totally up to them, whether they want to portray a particular scene to be funny, dramatic, serious, or just some slapstick comedy.

It's not that I watched anime with ecchi material for the ecchiness. Most of the animes and manga that I take interest in are somewhat like the Love Hina, Highschool of the Dead, Ai yori aoishi, Rosario + Vampire. They do indeed share the characteristic of being an ecchi anime but some the ecchi scenes that they provide are really unnecessary to the concept that they trying to capture the audience. Some of the anime I find interesting for the simple storyline sometimes couldn't help but insert some ecchiness to an even broader audience. I am not rejecting the idea of ecchi and accept for whatever reason they have to be in the anime. There's just a lot of anime that i like that has ecchi contents, in which I think it would've done just fine or even better without the perverse contents they have.
