Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel?

(Feels like i haven't posted in forever)

So we have essentially almost the entirety of the original Fate story as well as a majority of Type-Moon's works. FSN, both Fate and Unlimited Blade Works, AND Fate/Prototype (excluding Carnival Phantasm), We even got Fate/Zero, BOTH seasons (I INSIST for anyone that hasn't watched it yet or is new to the series or isn't hateful of anything Type-Moon yet at this point)

plus we even got 7-8 movies worth of Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners, and Canaan via 428 and the Tsukihime Anime So we've yet to get a legit Melty Blood anime.

so really that leaves with just one last route; "Heaven's Feel."

I know this is basically what leads into Hollow/Ataraxia, and I also know that some people actually hate this scenario in particular (then again I heard about all this some years ago so I'm probably wrong. Me? I'm just indifferent to it really...)

Still It intrigues me to an extent, especially since this focus is mainly on Matou Sakura.


and thus we see/saw Sakura as a sort of "Third" heroine, but also a tragic figure in a sense, since we saw only a glimpse of her abuse by Shinji.

So we've yet to see Dark Sakura, and her fucking sexy
wrath in anime form, which could be cool or just rage inducing depending if they bother, Depending on how you look at it.

Ufotable seriously SHOULD make it, I just feel somewhat somewhat confident regarding so,....*somewhat*

It is easily the best route imo, as it adds excellent characterization to characters like Rin, Sakura, and probably one of my favorite villains of all time Kotomine Kirei while taking Shirou's Ideal in a completely different direction from UBW. Many people would say that it fits in the most with Fate/Zero and from what I've seen of F/Z I agree as the atmosphere is very similar and HF carries on some of the plot threads introduced in F/Z. Also, Heaven's Feel is the route you learn the most about Kiritsugu so that's yet another reason why the two fit well together.

The only problem I see is Saber's reduced role in this route, it works in the VN because you have two routes to work off of but I'm not sure how to pull that off in anime form. Ideally I'd like to see Ufotable do the adaptation from the beginning, meaning Fate, UBW, and HF. Part of what makes HF so good, to me, is how different it is in feel to the other routes and how Shirou changed given the circumstance. Also, Studio Deen butchered his character, I feel, so I'd like to see much more capable hands on this project.

That's my thoughts on the subject. Ufotable's the only viable choice imo.

Edit: Oh, and from what I understand it seems about even between UBW and HF as to which one is the favored route from what I've seen on websites like MAL, VNDB, and Gamefaq's. I really like both routes, though for different reasons. One thing that I feel UBW benefited from is that it was much more focused and easier to follow. Plus, Archer has an incredible character arc and *that* battle is legendary as far as I'm concerned.

Still, I prefer HF for the reasons I mentioned.

Other than my first world problems, I wish whoever would make it, *AHEM*UNFOTABLE*AHEM*, wouldn't make it short like UBW and censor some of it.

While I am all for a HF anime, I doubt that the studio would be able to properly display the internal character development each of the characters (mainly Shirou) go through.


My vote's going with Ufotable though.

I believe it should get an anime. Also made by a retarded three year old.. oh wait they all do since the vn, manga and all the animu was made by a retard... he was 25 and was using a potato.

バカじゃない！ Wasn't sure to what you were referring to... only to hear the chant. What I meant to say is that the anime won't carry the same 'weight' as the VN... though that's to be expected.



And at 6:00, for some reason I can imagine that Archer (or the narrator for Fate/Extra) is reading those lines. Shirou for everything else.

I belive ufotable should be the studio to manage the HF. The other studios do have their perks and highlights, but none of them can managed to math the level of ufotable in terms of dialogue, animation highpoints, and the level of drama/ dark story elements while maintain a satisfying conclusion.

As for the Nine Lives Blade Works argument, not much can be said. Only the movements of the characters, the exact external dialogue, and the timing for each scene are needed. I agree that the internal dialogue for Shirou was absolutely amazing, the best action scene of any VN I've read so far. However, if you really want that in animated motion, alot of the internal dialogue is useless, since it's an anime after all. Shirou is talking to himself, not to the audience. In the VN, it should be read by the audience. In the anime (if it were to be produced), his dialogue, body language, and actions should be enough for the audience to know what's going on. (Though I have no idea how they're gonna animate him using up 27 circuits. Maybe like in every scene they did in FSN, and FSN:UBW.)

I wholeheartedly agree. The sculpting of characters through their internal dialogue in FSN is unrivaled. During the UBW route I was wholly immersed in their thoughts, in their view on the world. During SPOILER ALERT The lines, the emotions of a character, their agony, sorrow, hatred are thoroughly portrayed and resonate with the audience. The sudden climax after suspense and build-up in the plot line was what captured the audience.

I would like to point out however, that such methods are also possible in anime. Eva for example vividly portrays Shinji's inner conscience through the plot line and his own characteristics. Personally I hope that they don't make a simple 2-hour ova to cover the entire route. UBW was nothing but epic, yet the 2 hour version (though I admit it wasn't bad) had to take out the build-up the VN had to offer.

Then again, UFO all the way.

It's obvious. After Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/Zero, it is obvious to say that Ufotable is the ONLY studio fit to animate Nasu's works. I want them to do a "Revision" and Reanimate Fate/Stay Night : Fate, Fate/Stay Night : Unlimited Blade Works and finally an animated Fate/Stay Night : Heaven's Feel.

Think out of those options that Ufotable should be allowed to handle it. They've done a good job with Fate/Zero so I'd feel most confident with them being able to do a great job with Heaven's Feel.

I can't agree more. The main deciding factor for me is how beautifully they handled the Kara no Kyoukai movies.

Heavens Feel is the best F/sn route IMHO, though I doubt they'll ever animate it.

Too much gore and too much porn. They'd have to censor a crapload of scenes, plus I doubt they'll be able to convey the same experience the visual novel provided. Then again, if ufotable (yes I believe they're the most suited for the job, having done a splendid work with F/z) WILL do the work AND succeed, it will be more awesome than ever.

Didn't stop them from animating Fujino Asagami's Rape scene in the 3rd Kara no Kyoukai movie, they even added her nipples... lol

Oh God, how could I forget that? Well, considering poor Fujinon's case, it could be possible to animate even the goriest and hottest parts of Heavens Feel - of course, after toning them down a bit (not that I wouldn't like to see everything in its glory, but hey, we can't ask for everything).

UBW feels, incomplete and although HF is good(raving best for some) i'd wanna see shirou's fate after all the grail fuss. I NEED TO KNOW WTF HAPPENED TO HIM THAT MADE HIM A HERO AND WTF BROKE HIM. in UBW he just said he fought til he broke and that's it. anyway, if HF goes first than that, it's fine with me. it would be a fitting closure for the whole Fate to complete every heroine route before hero's.

Obviously, Heaven's Feel should be done by ufotable. Well on their 10th year anniversary festival on July, it's said that they will reveal some anime project with ufotable again, though most guess it's Girl's Work, but who knows, we maybe be surprised and reveal Heaven's Feel.

ufotable should do it, out of all the three routes, Heaven's Feel is the darkest, and the most complex, perfect for the people who managed to pull off the masterpiece called Fate/Zero.

It's simple. Emiya Shirou noticed too late that you can never eliminate conflict.

It never fully explained in the OVA like in the VN. Shirou became a hero by becoming a counter guardian, in exchange for being granted power.
