From the Shit To a Piece of Shit!

Ugh…. Oh man I just recently was reminded of Vampire Knight and had fond memories of loved and LOST.
I was just thinking that I absolutely loved the first season of Vampire Knight it drew me in with compelling characters and a good story with great follow through. But then I had to watch the shitty second season and find out that all the lame ass shit I thought they were going to avoid they pulled out. There was such finesse to the show and it was then shot down the drain with lame and predictable storyline. Needless to say it ruined the series for me and I couldn’t even watch the last episode. Now I just imagine it was all a dream and the show ended with the season one finial.
What I’m asking is if this happened with any other Anime or Manga where you loved the first half but hated the second half causing you to hate and or stop watching the series?
