FMA season2 is announced to air in japan in april 2009(based on crunchyroll trailer)

isnt this a remake?

Crossing my fingers and hoping it's not a remake....

Although after conquerors of shamballa, I have no idea how they'd continue to story like that or if they'd simply go back into a place in the first serie's timeline and do something there...

What exactly do people mean by "remake"?

There are three ways this new show could go:

1) Continue the story told in the first anime series
2) Tell the story of the manga
3) Create a brand new story with the characters

Personally, I'm hoping it's number 2. The manga is kickass and would make a great show. If number 1, then I probably won't watch the show. I'm alright with the way the anime series went, but I don't want to see anymore of it. If number 3, then I'm going to make a lot of angry posts on the internet. They have material for a new show (the manga), so why not use it?

I don't think it's a remake. I don't see a reason why they would.

What I was interested in that announcement though wasn't about FMA2... I was more interested in the rumor that Darker Than Black season 2 are in works... >_>
