Woah at the pace. However, after seeing this episode, I can safely say that this will indeed stay loyal to the manga, and will be the best anime this season, if not this year, or all-time. FMA is my favourite manga of all-time, after all.
Showed the whole process of the human transmutation, the Truth, and the test, and Ed getting his title. I do think it's a bit too fast for those who never read the manga. I think most people who watch this have read the manga already, so all good.
Anyway, Lior next episode! Looking forward to it!

The pacing is indeed quite hectic and the storytelling a bit jumpy (making me hope it will slow down and do some build-up now that we've reached Reole), but I still fuckin' love it !
The art/animation style is leaning more and more towards Soul Eater-like abstraction but I like it thus far. The only issue is getting used to them new voice acts (all them Bleach/Gundam00 voices are making my head spin) which I'm afraid will take a few more eps ...
This and Eden of the East are making this season a feast.

overall this ep was quite amusing to watch(a nice recap of what i've last seen on fma)...
on a side note though, it seems that they really emphasized on the bradley's role in a greater picture(start off 2 eps and having him appear in both)...
there's nothing much to be said except that it just gives off that good ol' fma feel that we enjoyed in the past...

I'm in the middle with the character/art design. The faces seem kind of wide to me or something. Especially Riza's design.

I heard there was gonna be like 26 episodes or something like that... making it A) Shorter then the Original Anime. B) So fast paced it's gonna be like a story on speed and crack. C) See A and B and you get a sad Panda. If it is longer... yay for more episodes.

Even at this pace, I won't expect the anime to be less than 50 episodes, since they're staying so true to the manga.

I just finished this ep. For someone who hasn't read the manga or watched the first series, it was a good recap ep and I liked it. So the heap of being after the transmutation was suppose to be Ed's mom?
