Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Ep. 8

An awesome episode. The animation was gorgeous. FMA never looked better.

Yet again, Brotherhoood squeezes 3 episodes into 1. It was done quite well this time however. The hospital episode next, looking forward to it.

Hmm, from they skipped Barry story and added in Envy and Lust from what I remember. Envy seems less trappish then before. I still have a hard on for Lust though.

Not that I haven't gotten used to the pacing by now but this approach really butchers the parts with the more emotional impact and their buildup.
Last week we went like 'OMG ! The stone is made from humans !!!' only to hear 'Ah, well - we just need to find a way around it' 2 minutes later.
The same thing happened this week with Al starting to doubt his whole existence after exchanging 3 damn sentences with a cleaver-wielding nuttjob.
I'm still patient to see the new material animated though and the otherwise high action/animation quality are of great help.


PS/ Is it just me or are those gawd-awful engrish inserts in the middle, getting more unbearable each week ?

As for the Barry story, it wasn't part of the manga in the first place, but I missed Winry getting gagged.

The animations are nice without a doubt but i kinda dislike it that they ruh with the story squezzing 2+ ep's into 1.

That was anime-only. Brotherhood sticks to the original manga plot.

Brotherhood makes me want to read the manga. I feel the added comedy is kind of forced. It doesn't add much for me. I like the pace this is going though. Rather than stretch the thing to unbearable lengths like Dragon Ball Z... Lol.

Good stuff. Need more FMA!

It's pretty awesome in my opinion. Sure the pacing is a little fast for me but it's not too fast. It could stand to be a little slower for my personal preference but over all good. I just want a little more emotion is all. Brotherhood just isn't having the impact that the original anime did on me. Brotherhood is more fun and entertaining to watch. But I like a little roman drama in my animes if you know what i mean. Especially ones where it fits.

I think the pacing is great, way better than the original.

I thinks it's fine, especially because these are all just remade episodes, they wanna skip through all the old stuff and focus with the new... they'll probably slow it down when they get finished with the remade material. I think it's a good idea.
