To all you Pokémon freaks out there..
Pokémon is probably THE most popular production on the planet.
And now since pokemon black and white are just released in Japan I got a mental-breakdown for not playing it. Evene worse: I decided to not check every new pokemon so I can go insane when one evolves and when I meet new pokemon. But not seeing it drives me mad..

But what is a topic without a main question?? so the question:
What kind of pokémon freak are you?
Do you know every single pokémon (until now)? Have you played every game? Have you seen every movie? Have you seen every episode? Do you have a pile of Pokémon Cards? Do you even have Pokémon toys??

My answers: A pretty big one, yes, yes, yes, no (I stopped at diamon&pearl episodes), yes, No (I had a pikachu.. but his head broke off..)
what are yours?

I've definitely been a big fan of Pokemon for a long time. My first Pokemon game was Yellow back when it was first released, and I've been playing every major title ever since. I have a vast collection of pokemon cards, some figurines, and an Eevee plushie that I got a long time ago. I watched the anime up to the Gold/Silver arc, and I plan on watching Best Wishes. I've also seen almost all of the movies.

I can't wait to play Black and White as well.

EDIT: I just placed an order for White. I'm going to get Black then when it comes out in the States in 6 months, lol.

I only play the game to just play the game that's all. I hate the anime series meaning I despise the movies as well. The only other pokemon series I like besides the games is the manga, Pokemon Special. It has a superior story and just overall better characters.

Seriously though, I gave up on Red and Blue. My card collection is collecting dust in the basement.

Used to collect the cards up until after the Team Rocket set. Watched the first three movies and Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Been trying to watch the anime but the series has more fillers than Naruto, which bores me. I've played R/B/Y, G/S/C, Ruby, and have played Platinum and Heart Gold. I own a Chimchar, a Manaphy, and a Charizard doll that lay beside me in bed. I have seen all the sprites for Generation V. Cannot wait for Black and White to come out in the spring.

I'm basically just a fan of the games. Never cared much for the card game or show. I completed the Kanto/Johto-dex (except Mew) and almost completed the Hoenn-dex but then gave up 30 short. I've also played and beat all of the games except SoulSilver(HeartGold). Unfortunately, some douche stole my DS Lite along with my Diamond and Leaf Green and I'm to cheap/lazy to buy them again and start over.

I played the original games, Blue, Red, then Yellow, and enjoyed the heck out of them. I got some of the following games, Gold, Silver, ... uh, some gemstone... but they just weren't as much fun. Too many wacky requirements, timed spawns, mating, trading, blah. It got really annoying, so I never completed any of the new ones, though I did get the remakes of Blue and Red.

The anime was pretty good for the first season or two. After that, though, the show got really, REALLY repetitive and I stopped liking it. All they do is shuffle around characters and the pokemon Satoshi catches and replug in the formula script. Boring.

So, used to be a big fan but not anymore.

I haven't played since Pokemon left the Game Boy. But I still try to keep updated on it.

Pokemon games: Red, Yellow and Silver.

Toy: A Super ball of Charmander. I played with it so much that the figure inside moved a bit and started to blur. My friends and I joked about it that it looked like it "evolved". xD

Anime: I've only seen up to the Johto series.

Movie: First one only. The one with MewTwo

Manga: I've Finished reading up to Yellow. I'm planning on reading the rest... someday.

Card games: I didn't buy one. Just not interested with its Card game version.

Yup. Did my share of playing and doing things Pokemon related. Can't wait for Black and White in English.

Oh, and Drifblim is my favorite pokemon.

I used to know all the pokemon up through the second set of games. After that things just got a bit ridiculous for me.

Go to add some things though..
I was watching the anime mainly because I liked the games and the pokemon.. But since Team Rocket ends up blasting away nearly every episode, every episode ends with the lot walking away towards dusk waving and almost never a pokemon evolved or they caught one, I just made up my mind in the middle of an episode to quit it. [I believe it was an episode with a yanma..]
I forgot to tell that I also had some plastic pokeballs with some pokemon in them. [got bored of them after a week or so..]
And the games.. well.. besides the classic red blue gold silver crystal etc.. I've also played the pokemon rangers and the pokemon mystery dungeons. [can't recommend them though] And also stadium and collusuem and XD.. O yeah.. also the pinballs.. [never played pokemon snap and those games though xD]

God.. Why do the Japanese get to play all the games first..
6 months is a looooong wait..

My first was the Red version, bro got Yellow. We completed ours, then swapped. Then I got Crystal, then Sapphire. Now, I've got pretty much every GB/GBA version of Pokemon as ROMs on my PSP. Also, I've tried Platinum on a DS com emulator.

Anime I watched was the dubbed one, was quite into it when it first started showing, then I grew older, so didn't get into it as much.

Cards and toys, not so much.

Oh god I remember the bus driver. I also remember there was a different commercial where he invites them all onto a bus and he crushes them in the bus to make a gameboy for him to play.
